Common Problems 1.0 ::
VC:MP is different than MTA, And they are not made by the same company.
VC:MP and MTA act the same whereas, any screens open, they think it a cheat, and will usually crash the game.
As in MTA, it scans your VC folder for any edgy content, and MTA looks over VC:MP, Whereas VC:MP usually dosent look over MTA.
when installing, you goto www.vicecitymultiplayer.com and it client is on the main page, it will say 0.3z Client.
Open it, install the client the same as MTA and SA:MP.

Common Problems 1.1 ::
When booting your VC:MP, you will not see the 'start, options, quit' - that is normal, it will load to the pink bar, and start the game.
"When the pink bar gets about 75%, game crash" - Yes, either you have modded files, or hacks in your GTA, or you have MTA installed in that folder.
For some, such as mex, you can have MTA & VC:MP installed in the same folder, for others, such as myself, it does not work that way.
"What do i have to do?" - You have to make another installation of Vice City on your PC, and play it like that.
What i do, is i have the folder GTA Vice city running for VC:MP and i have the folder GTA Vice city(MTA) Running for my MTA.
Run it like that and its fine.

Common Problems 2.0 ::
As VC:MP 0.3z is more buggy and less stable than MTA 0.5, you should not be suprised of major bugs, happening, or just blatantly random things.
The Jump Glitch::
When you jump or when you dont jump, the bug send you flying into the sky, and never lets you get down. - You have to exit the game, and return.
The skin selecting ::
Be aware, that in Argonath ARG VC:MP 1.1 Server (only :( )
Sometimes when selecting skins at a fast (or even slow) speed, it will freeze up your game, and sometimes your entire PC.
You will either have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete out, or restart your PC maually, because it will not let you back to your desktop.
Any other major bugs that occur to you more than 2-3 times, PM me, and ill post here and give credit.

my problem is with vice city itself thats why vc:mp won't work so i don't know if i can post here, anyways vice city has always worked for me but not it doesnt work for some reason, everytime i load up vice city the usual thing comes up with the intro and credits and stuff, so when i click to go ahead the whole thing freezes and stops working.

Well, that could be a number of things, one of the main, is the windows updates.
When it updates, it updates security & loads of other crap that isnt broken, and they insist on making it 'better'.
Try deleting everything Vice City related and try reinstalling and see if you can run Singleplayer.
Also, try turning off your Anti-Virus, because AVG updated, and it kicked 50% of SA:MP players off, and loaded the singleplayer :lol:
Look though, if you have limewire, i can get you Vice city 1.0 with no spyware, malware, or any bad thing.
and it works for me on Vista.

i tried all that, i'm just gonna redownload VC and then reinstall it and see where that gets me, ill let you know if it works when i'm done, thanks for quick answer btw.

Well on my computer when i click "connect" on a server it just loads single player but for some reason it does work on my Dad's comp...
Also before that when I had a different version it crashed at 75% which is why I downloaded a new version, which now has a different problem...

my PC also freezes at skin selection(usually at the same skin)
only on ArgonathRPG server
and my server list doesnt loads nowadays
it used to work fine about a week ago :(
yeah..but i can play by adding the server to favs, but a lot of times it shows players0/0 ping 9999
and then i cant connect to it

then don't do it. add the server to the favs

You have to install VC:MP in ROCKSTAR GAMES/GTA Vice City Or else you WILL CRASH at the pink bar or it WILL NOT WORK
If you have MTA Installed in that folder already, uninstall MTA, then install a NEW GTA VICE CITY to a different folder such as GTA Vice City(MTA), then try.

I had that 2 but therefor not so I think VC:MP was a bit down.

you dont have to install VC twice to play both mta and vc:mp. You can install mta in any map you want i think, so just install mta somewhere else and install vc:mp in the same map as VC

yeah it freezes up when i do the character selection and to avoid it i always have to be some stupid cop >:( if i try to switch skin i crash so i guess everybody is stuck with cop :( even all my friends crashed :(((((((((

do it slower, thats cause you scroll through skins too fast.
