Title: Happy Birthday from Argonath
Post by: Teddy on November 06, 2015, 07:01:04 pm
In our newest update we will be adding a gifting system, where gifts can be sent between players (eventually) and get gifts from us. In this, we'll be allowing people to register their date of birth with us and on your birthday, we'll give you a birthday cake! The birthday cake you can eat, but it has a surprise in it like money, or random items (even business licenses). However we recommend you spend your birthday anywhere but here, and with your friends and family... but you can enjoy the reward once you are back.

In addition to this we have slightly modified our /give and /use systems to be more efficient and a lot more powerful. You will see in the coming days and weeks new systems making use of the power of this new system. This system comes from Mikro with the foundation by Conroy so be sure to thank them for this incredible system. The new possibility of this system really opens Argonath to a whole new realm and we're excited for where we can go with this.

This will be apart of RS5.1.17a.

What about fake birthday dates?

Set your birthday to whatever you want, still the date only comes once a year. You can't change it once it's set.

You can't change it once it's set.
I suggest you to put this as a warning sentece before someone put their birthday date. Like:
/setbirthdaydate DD/MM/YYYY
"You're about to set your birthday date. You can't change it once it's set. Press the cmd again to continue"
/setbirthdaydate DD/MM/YYYY
"You have succesfuly...."

And do make sure to make it obvious that it is DD/MM/YYYY and not any other way... You guys from the west like to mess with that formation.

Problem with that I guess is like 100 people will have a 'birthday' on the same day, since so many people joined RS5 at the same time when it started, if that can be seen as a problem ofc.

That will be 177 happy birthday boys. All have registered between 2013-12-15 and 2013-12-20 and are currently still active. #instantParty  :bananav:

That would be funny when done in-game then, sounds like we got a plan in advance too?
