The year 2015 is coming to an end and it's time to recognize those who have earned to be recognized. The mayor of Los Santos, Mr. Lawrence Dentico will be personally handing out awards to those who have shown great skill or have made a change in our everyday lives, sections as: law enforcement, medicine, social contribution, improving our economy and many other hard-working citizens who deserve to be awarded.
Categories are as follows:
1) Finance "As the saying goes, money makes the world go round." - Businessman of 2015
2) Medicine & fire department "Whatever your circumstances may be, success is of little use without good health" - Medic/Firefighter of 2015
3) Entertainment & Culture "Not just there to chase away boredom, entertainment allows us to live out our fantasies as well as to relieve a little stress along the way." - Entertainment & Culture Award 2015
4) Government agencies "Law enforcement agencies are entrusted to carry out the will of the people and work towards the good of society as a whole." - Best law enforcement agency of 2015
5) Non-governmental organisations "Capitalising on their proximity to power, yet retaining their independence"
Additional awards being handed out for individuals, would like to keep this section hidden - will be published at 20/12/15 award cerenmony.

Culture award of 2015 goes to [GSF]Traser, Jay Araatus, Tinman and DJ Martin - for their contribution in the following sectors: art, journalism or music!"
"Los Santos would like to recognize Flint's Impound & Recovery for their much needed service that they are providing, could the representative of Flint's Impound & Recovery come up on the stage for their gift from Los Santos. Would also like to courage our citizens to create new businesses and keep them open weekly."

Los Santos recognizes the fight and lives lost against the Flint Liberation Army. I personally don't like the idea of doing the same thing in San Fierro for many reasons. However this makes me want to come up with the ideas to bring back the oscars and to prevent the problems we had with it before.

Traffic may be disturbed at the Pershing Square and its surrounding areas. SAPD is directing traffic at the area, Los Santos would like to ask for patience from their citizens and remind them to park their vehicles accordingly. See you all tonight at the awards!

Due to the amount of personal expect to arrive, we must inform you that there will be restrictions in place throughout the ceremony at Pershing Square, this means that vehicles will not be able to parked anywhere around Pershing Square, any personnel who ignore this request will have the vehicles towed and/or citations made. The airspace around Pershing Square is also restricted meaning no flights are to fly above. Weapons are also restricted which means no guns are to be shown or discharged, if they are lethal force may and will be used against those who disregard this.
With parking we do recommend that you use the parking located behind the City Hall located below:

My apologies for going a bit off topic but I find it quite, well lets just keep it at annoying that finally when there's some role-play events organised, people have to be murdered. I understand, people want the mayor gone and all that, and doing that in a role-play perspective would be good (aka a lot of people would know). But one of the first 'mayoral' events, and sort of ruining it in this way (I wasn't in-game but from what I've heard/ seen in the provided information so far). It just looks like people decided to shoot at him because he's the mayor and because they're a rebel group, ruining a role-play that could've ended in a lot nicer way (people attend, everyone is welcome, different groups have role-play situations, etc).
Unless there has been extraordinary role-play before the situation, good reasoning and planning etc, I would class it as DM myself. But I'd love to see the role-play screenshots as that'd clear a lot up (Nothing against FLA as I love the role-play I've seen from them so far, and you shouldn't judge something by just what you've heard so I'll give it some time)

Here's some RP for you, don't know what more you can expect from an assassination, they are meant to be done fast, stealthily and with an escape plan.
Lawrence Dentico was also tipped off with a text message - "Watch your head, it's going to start raining soon", as I was requested to give a roleplay hint on impending assassination by a manager.

This whole thing was in response to another public event by Dentico, where he told a mass of people that he declares war on Flint Liberation Army, he got the war he declared, should have stayed out of our business if he wanted the public event to go smoothly, not to mention he himself said on /p yesterday something like "I wonder how FLA plan to assassinate me" (not exact words), clearly he was prepared for such a thing to happen, the police and security presence at Pershing Sq was overwhelming, sadly it wasn't enough, but there you go, we didn't kill him just because we're a 'rebel group' - We killed him because he declared war on us himself, in roleplay.
If you honestly expected us to go into a crowd full of people surrounded by police and do things like "/me takes out his weapon, preparing to kill Dentico" then you're nuts, that kind of RP would just be suicide, and we don't like suicide, though we did shoot down a Hunter before getting blown up by a Hydra. :rolleyes:
