It's rather clear and we as HQ have noticed the new trend with groups to take over other peoples "dead" in-game scripted groups to have more group vehicles.
This will be classed as script abuse by misusing the scripts for what it is not intended to be used for.
We are aware of multiple groups currently making use of multiple other /groups to have more vehicles spawned around the map or even their "area".
You all have until tomorrow to remove the vehicles from those groups or I will be closing those groups down and the vehicles within those groups will be lost. No refunds will come from those lost vehicles either.

Huh? Are you refering to USAA RPing at Area 69 and having Patriots and stuff spawn there that used to be MGI's? Because in RS4 those were state vehicles.
Hope this doesn't include us.

Those Patriots etc are owned by "Argonath", so no, this does not involve you probably. It is about scripted groups (/groups, /groupvehicles) of which the original owners died out and the scripted group was taken over by another group.

Thanks to Dylan they're 'Argonath' now, but when we started out they still had the MGI licenseplate.

I personally bought a group for some cash and also spent money on vehicles.
If this is the final decision, give us more time to sell or give out those vehicles. We already lost money on buying groups, we dont want to lose on vehicles too.

Sure no problem, but then put the limit for groups to at least 20, like Teddy already said he's planing on, because limiting group cars to 4 or 5, is not only ridiculous and has no purpose, yet its a ancient left over from the previous scripting team, when Argonath had 10-15 players online.

20 seems a lot, after all they still put some strain on the server, right? 10 would be nice though.

They don't, this SAMP client isn't like the old ones, in which you had small vehicle limit etc. This was confirmed by Teddy, that even huge amount of vehicles wouldn't make any problem to the server. 10 would be nice for smaller groups like yours, but you gotta respect the needs of bigger groups.

An army surely would need more vehicles than a mafia/corporation if you wanna look at it that way. :D

Many Corporations, and many mafias, have more soldiers under their control, then most armies in the world, if you look at it that way.
Which isn't the point, yet the fact, that on Argonath, there are groups with 20-30 active members, and their needs should be respected, as well as teh needs of small groups with 4-5 active members.

I don't think a group needs 20 car slots in the first place if you're only using 2/3 at a time. Especially with your group I can see that happen, cofi.
Additional vehicles can always be provided by the members themselves if they own similar vehicles.
Groups are not meant to be a rent-a-car solution, they're meant to represent your group in-game and to show that you're a member of it, and which members are there.

For you to understand, I would have to give you a tour in game.
Reason not to have limit up to 20? None, not even the SAMP limit is a problem.
Reason to give? Why decline something that the Community groups are asking, and saying they need it alot, yet no one can really find a good argument to decline it, except personal judgment, and of course, from people who haven't been a part of one of those group, to understand it.
Lets just make SAPD cars limit to 5, and other people who pass /duty test, can purchase their own police car, how's that working out for ya? Oh its a Goverment agency, so irl they are suppose to be served with spawned cars? Well a big Mafia or Corporation works the same way, and can offer their employers/members all the vehicles they find necessary for their daily work.

One more important thing that I forgot to mention, yet its really important,
Go take a drive down to Ganton when no GSF is around. You'll see all those nice cars, and you'll have a feeling they've just went to sleep. You pass down to Queens, you'll have the same feeling, which makes everything more realistic when it comes to the "Roleplay atmosphere" that people been bitching about so much.
Now go on some server where there's no GSF or Gvardia cars, and take a drive to Ganton and Queens. Feels empty and abandon doesn't it? Dont underestimate the esthetics the group cars provide for our neighborhoods.

I'm not against this, but more time is needed, as some people donated a group vehicle but then purchased another vehicle, hence they have no vehicle licenses now.
More vehicle slots is a must. No all these cars are not needed AT THE SAME time, but they are at some point. And also maybe for ehen you get stranded. ( I have my cars spread so I'll always have something to drive to go back "home" )

I agree.
15-20 vehicles per group would be great. Luciano already has around 15-20 vehicles and we use every single one.
Vehicle variation supports different roleplays. We also train new players and most of them cant purchase expensive vehicles (fast cars, boats, aircrafts) and by giving them the opportunity to drive those vehicles we're attracting them to stay on the server and play.

At this point in time a figure we find ideal for vehicles would be the following:
Normal Groups: 8
Recognized Groups: 10
Official Groups: 12
From the current limits of 4, 5, 6 vehicles.

As we are going to remove the abused groups within 48 hours, this new limit will also be implemented soon, probably within 12 hours.

That'd be great since USAA's vehicleslots are full at the moment, if the limit is 4 currently. :D

They are limited to the same specifics as any other group thus limited to 8 vehicles.
