Title: SA:MP and W8.1

So yeah, I just got my new laptop with W8.1, GTA not starting, saying I need Directx9+ to continue, any ideas?

More specifically, you need(ed) the optional components of DirectX 9, which can be acquired by using DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displayLang=en&id=35).

Just to clarify - Windows versions include DirectX support by default (XP supports 9, Vista 10, Windows 7 and 8 DirectX11 and Windows 10 DirectX12). GTA:SA/SA:MP just requires something, that isn't installed by default.
