I will regularly be updating this topic with stats compiled from the database and logs. They should pose some general insight in our server and player base. Besides their serious character, stats are always nice to read and think about.
Christmas gift stats
- A total of 3340 gifts were claimed
- December 23th most gifts were claimed, namely 314
- The first day, December 12th the lowest amount of 211 gifts were claimed
- On average each player claimed 7.1 gifts
- 470 distinct players at least once claimed a gift
- 82 players claimed their gift every possible day
- Of those 3340 gifts, 1309 were money gifts
- A total of $36,014,000 was given away by Santa
- On average each player got around $76,625 from their gifts
As of January 5th 2016 in RS5.2 closed beta there is
- 89,239 lines of code
- 966 commands

Santa should've just saved the hazzle and given me the money. I'd put it in good use

The gift system was nice because it incentivized some players that wouldn't normally have to come online at least once a day and maybe do some roleplay, maybe there should be some other daily system added

Shows how many people logged in just for the free stuff, don't they ask themselves "Whats the point" if they don't play the server any other time...?

You should add something like, if not logged in for 2-3 days, Santa presents/gifts would be gone and $$ erased :D /hyper on

An estimate of man hours worked by scripting team on 5.2 would be cool..
Might make people appreciate things more too :)

Based on estimates using code commit times and frequency, roughly 672 hours between myself and Dylan (that's 28 days between both; or 14 days each). I only have the data for myself and Dylan because we're sharing code branch; Mikro has also been very busy on the panel during this time, putting in just as equal of work.
There have been many days where I myself have worked between 12 and 16 hours, quite common. Once I am in the zone I don't like getting distracted. There are also days where no code has done; so that number is probably high. We don't have exact time cards so just using my best mathematical skills for nearly 1 am.
