Title: Lags/Sudden FPS Drops
Post by: Joey on January 01, 2016, 10:20:54 am
Its been awhile since i have started to face sudden lags/fps drops.
After starting the game, it works fine for 4-5 mins and then there are sudden lags which lasts for like around a min and then again it works fine for next 4-5 mins and same again.

Heres a small preview.

Had anyone faced anything like this before? Or its just me? And is there any solution to fix this? I tried to find some solutions on google but nothing helped, still the same.
This never happened before, just started from the past 10-15 days.

How much ram do you have in your system? It almost looks like you're on the limit of the free ram and it starts making use of page file thus creating lag spikes. I used to have a similar issue before with a low amount of ram.

I'm not sure but could it be your GPU? Have you tried to run the single player without mods?

Its a GT755M 2Gb. All other games seems to work fine.

I don't have a solution for this, but this happened also to me with an with a laptop I had. I was never able to figure out what it was, but I always believed it was because the laptop was getting too hot so it tuned it's performance down for a moment.

Since it's a laptop, you also need a cooling pad to be placed underneath your laptop, and also check whether there is dust covering vents. most laptops are needed to be cleaned once per year, overheating can cause lag and performance issues

Well looks like the cooling pad solved the issue, not completely, but very well than before. The lags are now very less frequent than before.
