Post by: FlameMan on January 19, 2016, 09:01:47 pm: After reading Frank's farewell topic, I got sentimental and recalled some of the great events from the past years with this community.
To tell you the truth, Argonath has been a great addition to my teenage life. I started playing VC:MP Argo in 2007 and SA:MP Argo in May 2008 and I was here for six years, having left in 2014. My life has been going so fast since then, that I could mistake the year tho (it was 2014 I suppose).

Throughout those years I met a huge number of amazing, awesome people... Starting off with the "biggest" of this server - Gandalf, Aragorn, Hank Rafferty, Pancher, Husky, Ghost, xcasio, Sharphis, Crimson, Haldir, CBFasi, my AV founders friends - Janek and Dave, my great WS friend - Hyper and many many more (I'm sorry, I know I must have forgotten about many great people, but those people just stayed in my memory after all the years).

I also met great people, who didn't reach the top within the community, but meant a lot to me..
- Altair_Carter and Michael_Carter, my first cop partners from 2008, I still remember their names and the contact I had with them for a couple of years...
- James_Hunter - the best Commander that SWAT has ever had
- Tovenaarke - the friendliest cop ever :)
- Ethan_Carter - my great friend, CMB would be nothing if he wasn't there :)
- Nexxt, we had our grudges, he's like my little brother who used to be beaten up by me but I still feel the responsibility :)

I know these are just a couple of names, but I feel soooo sentimental right now. Argonath had 6 years of my life and it helped me out A LOT. With my life, my crisises, my smaller or bigger problems, it also improved my English etc...

I am really, really thankful and glad that I had a chance of being part of this wonderful community.
To those who are here - appreciate what you've got here. Realize how huge is the impact that Argonath has to your life and be thankful to people around here. Then even after a couple of years away, you will be able to come back with a smile looking at the forums and the players.

PS. I've still got 4GB of screenshots from the game. The first one is from 12.05.2008 and the last one from 02.05.2014. It's my treasure, some of them are really hilarious :D

Thank you Argonath for everything you've done to me. Wishing you next decades and thousands of next youngsters shaped by you :)

I do remember that too Thomas! These were the greatest times of my cop career on Argo. I appreciate the commitment you had for the duty and I appreciate the help that you were. I thought about you the very first moment I posted this topic! I saw you on the members list! You know who is he? Klaus is the first guy who met me in VC:MP Argo in 2007! He introduced me to SA:MP Argo :) And Robis was my very first username, I had it on VC:MP and for 5 first days on SA:MP before I switched to FlameMan... :) Klaus, it's so good to write to you again :) Thank you mate for what you taught me almost 10 years ago (God, has it really been so long?! That's the best summary I could have in this topic :) For the people - I am not leaving, I mean, I left a couple of years ago. The purpose of this topic is to thank you all again and show all of you that Argonath is still very important part of me, and that I still remember people who shared their time with me, years ago.

Always the same to you man, (friendship included)! You are among some of the most memorable people I've come across in this community that made it a fun, welcoming place for me to enjoy. Had it not been for you guys, I probably wouldn't be here today. Thank you! :)

In the future lives will change just a much as they have. Do not forget to keep up and explore whatever new technology may bring even if you think it is for (your) kids, You are never to old to play, wherever you will play.

And thank you, personally for all the conversation we had, in my times of doubt. About work, life and even girls. I appreciate the impact that Argonath and you personally had on my "growth".
Now, I'm a lawyer specialised in the criminal law (I'd lie if I told you that my Argo cop career had nothing to do with it). I wrote my thesis on the crime of rape in the polish penal system and after getting my MA degree I'm studying on my own to pass the entry exams to the school for prosecutors and judges in Poland (where only 150 people get accepted annually). If I ever accomplish that, that'll be your success too :) Thank you again Gandalf :)
