Greetings Argonath Experts,
When I launch my LaunchIVMP, First its shows a black screen for 3 Seconds, and it crashes back to My Desktop screen. I didn't have any problem until early today.
Hope I get some help. :neutral2:
Regards,
Devin_Coffey [IVMP]

Reboot your computer (I am serious, try rebooting before anything else). And if you're on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, shutting down and turning it on again is NOT the same as reboot. You HAVE to reboot.
Only do this if rebooting didn't help:
Try uninstalling IVMP and delete the following files / folders, path may vary depending on your Windows install:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\IVMP\ - delete the whole folder, including any files inside
C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\LaunchIVMP.exe - if for some reason it does not get deleted after its uninstall.
After this, try installing IVMP again. Rebooting between reinstalls and after install might be a good idea just to be completely "safe".

This happens to my friends laptop too, Installed GTA IV then it won't launch. :neutral2:
Windows 8.1 OS, Permanent battery so it can't be removed from the laptop itself.

Hello Devin,
I was expressing the same problem as u had but did nothing except what Wheeli said and waited for some time then it actually worked so i think u might have to wait for some time

You should try upgrading to Windows 7 or 10, As windows XP is kind of outdated now. That might actually fix the problem.

But until Day-Before-Yesterday the game was running smoothly. So I dont think it has nothing to do with my Operating System.

Just try to downgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, like me :D
I get 20fps at its worst, 30fps at average & 50fps at its best.
My PC specs are :
CPU - Intel(R) Pentium 4 Dual-Core @2.5GHz ( Only $2 bucks in my country here, )
RAM - 2GB DDR2 ( $25 bucks )
GPU - ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT 1GB GDDR2/GDDR3 ( around $100+ )
I haven't tried using Windows XP because when i try to install,
I can't downgrade my Windows :neutral2: even using boot options.
Windows Vista is a bad choice because it limits the Random Access Memory..

Hello Guys,
I managed to solve the issue.
The solution is what Wheel_Rider said. That didn't work for me the first time. I did that again and Left my PC unused for a while. This hopefully resolved it.
Thanks everyone who helped and tried to help.
Please Close/Delete this post if needed.
Thankfully,
Devin.
