Hello,
With RS5.2 on the horizon, some new features (that are mostly external) do need you to have an email address linked with us. with RS5.2 your account is automatically upgraded to account version 4, with a handful of out-of-the-box features and some plans for shortly after the release. In order to avoid the trouble later you can register your email using /settings now. Once our new system is out, we'll simply have you verify the email to ensure it's authentic and you'll be up and rolling in no time!
You can also speed up the process by adding 'no-reply@samp.argonathrpg.com' to your contact list.

You'll just get annoyed by RS5.2 when you login. :)
The main intended feature is account recovery, should you forget password or loose access to multi-factor. Rather than having us do it which can take time, we'll allow you to reset it manually. There will be others coming that focus on Argonath Now.

No, we will never force anyone to register the email with the SA-MP server.
