Found a Motorola phone on the bus yesterday. Gave the owner 24 hours to contact me but failed. Finders keepers, sadly.
I reset it and all and I'm trying to convert the phone into a CCTV camera. From all the google research and youtube videos I can only see this being used when both devices are on the same wifi. I would like to view my camera when I'm out (i.e. different wifi/3G/4G)
For the next 5 hours I am free and looking to spend my time doing something productive. Oh and I want to see who's going into my room and taking my charger since no one in the household is owning up
Anyone want to help me in this experiment? I want to find an app where I can view the camera feed through a DIFFERENT network.

Can't say I'd encourage anyone to "claim ownership" of an item because they had it for 24 hours.

I backed up all of the guy's data and kept his simcard just in case he decides to contact me at some point. Isn't 24 hours enough to notice your phone is missing and desperately trying to get it back by contacting it?

Ah fair enough, might be worth keeping their SIM card in another phone so they can still contact it!

His content is nothing important from my perspective but for him it may be hence why I saved everything. Yep, just waiting to nick my dads work phone so I can put his simcard in.

Afaik you are not the owner untill they have not contacted you (or the police if you had gave it to them) within a year, after the year it's yours.
