/area cmd just tells the location where the player is, at that moment but it does not give the complete information as we get through /dis cmd and the cops find difficulty while figuring out a distant criminal (As everybody does not know all the places by name) so I am actually saying the two cmds 1. /area cmd and 2. /dis cmd must be combined or /area or a cmd "/loc" must be assigned with complete info about the player/criminal.
Note: This will typically for the ease of cops because they've to use a set of cmds while chasing the criminals.
Conclusion: /area cmd must give info like this sample: Player is at "Vice port" 1234.5 m SouthWest from you

No. both commands are in place, use them instead of being lazy.
-
Its kind of useless, you can get the location by /area and the map also provide the blip so you can easily locate the suspect without using the distance.
-
I think this is kinda unnecessary given that we have a minimap too. Learning the map isn't that hard and most people know it perfectly.
-
Area command is made to be "vague", to give just the general idea of a player's location.
Dis command gives you the exact distance between you and the target and also tells you where to go.

If /dis cmd had location name also then new players might be able to learn places more easily.
and I exactly knew /area is vague that's why i am advising to make one, hybrid of both. majority of new players also don't know about all cmds so if they see anybody using /area then they must assume after its use, that other info could not be and if it see /dis cmd used by pupil then they will just know about the exact location of the player but he will not get that which location was? what was its name? because many other features represent places as names. So it will be easy to learn places? And I think two cmds about same subject is distracting ;)

but not new and majority of people.

While chasing a criminal a cop find many yellow blips around so they dont get exactly which one is his target.

I'd rather see /dis removed in all honesty, and keep /gps for properties. I like the fact that /area is vague as it gives a more realistic response. No one really knows exactly where someone is unless they have some tracking chip in their brains which isn't the case.

You could say this is a tactic criminals purposely use. Hide in a crowded area and blend in. It's smart if you ask me. Cops have to deal with this same issue IRL. One way to tackle this issue is to have a helicopter scouting the area. This will result in criminals blips turning orange.

This is all the end of debate.
And yeah /gps should be kept instead

The only situation in which I use /dis at a constant rate is during smuggles, so I can figure out who is on the Yacht ( /area telling me the smugglers are in Vice City doesn't make me too certain... ). Otherwise, during pursuits I'm used to orange blips and /area ( which does become quite unrealistic unless you have a Police Maverick to scout the suspect out and /bu ).
