Hola,
It's mid 2016 and we're considering updates on security, the first of which will be upgrading to HTTPS for our main forums. This is a transition that should take place over the next few days. In addition to this we will be working hard at reviewing, upgrading, and strengthening core security to match the new industry standards. We live in a world that changes constantly and new threats develop. For Argonath we have a pretty good understanding of the threats we face... pissed off middle eastern kids who have been banned for cheating... ok seriously a lot of banned people. We also understand the bot nets which constantly fishing for vulnerabilities to exploit.
We remain committed to protecting your information here. Something last teams and people in my position admitted wasn't a priority for them... however for me it is a priority and always will be priority one.
The owner will be overseeing the transition to HTTPS this week. I won't be here or involved as I am going camping, without any technology, peaceful mmm. Next week will have a bit of downtime while we individually review each system and upgrade them to the latest security platform. We will also be in touch with server developers to ensure they are using the best standard possible for keeping information secure.
Regards,
Teddy

Sounds excellent. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop Ted!

IT seems that to reach https we will need to move the forum to a dedicated IP, shared hosting machines and HTTPS certificates are a bit of a bother. Looking in to solutions and best practices.
