a cancel button would be nice in case you are wrinting something but some one else said it or you dont want to post any more it you can just hit cancel and it brings you back to the main or where you was going to post the topic
-
You can just click the 'Forum' button? Or the back button? Or really any other button to navigate away from the posting page.

yes yes but it would be more easyer to see a big cancel button right next to post or previw
-
I click the topic on the breadcrumb trail at the top (i.e. here it says Argonath RPG - A World of its own --> Argonath RPG Community --> Forum and site ideas and information Post reply ( Re: add a cancel button on topics on all forums )).
-
I think the word you're looking for is delete.

Why? It's not that hard to just click back or any other topic view. This is absolutely useless.

No, he's not asking for a delete button. He is legit asking for a button to stop posting while writing / previewing a post.
-
Click the back button on your browser, push backspace on your keyboard, push the power button on your PC case. Or you could just unplug your power cable and walk away from the PC.

why
dude just press backspace if navigating to the back button is too hard
-
I think he means after he posts. In this case, he should probably be requesting that the post removal link be restored where he doesn't have access to it. :P

No, he's not because he said adding it next to post and preview, which is while you are still writing a post.

Ah, I missed that. Forget what I said then. :P

This looks nice though.

That is just a change in the board or general permissions. They are probably set the way they are to prevent abuse, though.

Yes, this is intentionally disabled.

I think he is saying, add a button to delete your post.

Stop trollin'!

no i dont mean a delete botton on the post i mean a cancel button when you dont wanna post what you said on topics or replays
-
We already understand that, mate. As Devin and the rest said: You could easily click on the forum bottun or the "backwards" bottun on your browser and what you were trieng to post will magically vanish.
-

As said above, it do exist, however it is disabled due some people started abusing it and for that it got disabled.
If people here could have stuff without feeling the need to abuse every single thing it would probably have stayed.

I will make a list of ways to navigate away from the posting windows that will be easier than making a giant unnecessary "cancel" button.
-Press backspace to navigate back to the previous webpage
-Click back on the browser
-Click on the topic located on the navigation bar above the "search" section
-Post anyway to posthunt
-Click a bookmark
-Check your recent unread topics
-Press literally any clickable link on the page
I don't understand why make an extra button that would make it harder for you to do what you want to do.

He's talking about the deleting feature, not your suggestion for cancelling. There is no cancel button. There is a delete button for those with access (e.g board moderators)

Indeed, he was remarkably explicit there. :D
In terms of the idea, I see where you're headed with it, but in this particular case I don't think it's necessary. We can click the back button, click a link to another topic which in my opinion suffices.
Keep the ideas coming though mate, it's how we move forwards ;)

Well technically he was asking for "Cancel' to revert to the previous screen. That's backwards, right? :D
