UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
FOR THE VICE CITY COURT OF FLORIDA
United States of Argonath V. [VU]aXXo a.k.a [VU]Monty_Singh

I. Opening Statement

The FBI/VCPD started an investigation after a suspicion that the defendant's warehouse might've been used for storage of illegal goods, including drugs and weaponry, as well as the weaponry being used for crimes. After obtaining sufficient classified evidence that was shown to the Judges and Chief Inspector, a raid was executed by FBI and the SWAT team. Mr. [VU]aXXo was found not only to be having an illegal storage of goods himself, but also allowing tenants to do the very same thing without reporting it to the police.

II. Case Breakdown

Criminal acts committed by [VU]Monty_Singh
We, the FBI, declare the criminal violations committed by the defendant to be listed herein:

Defendant was found to be in possession of the following illegal goods:
17 grams of weed
29 pounds of plastic explosives
M60 machine guns with 400 rounds of 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition
'Bulldog' semi-automatic shotguns with 2528 shells of 12 gauge ammunition
179 units of M67 grenades

Defendant also took money from his tenants for sharing storage space at the said warehouse, freely allowing all of them to store illegal goods - police was never informed of this, thus the warehouse owner himself is responsible for their crimes (their illegal stashes) as well.

III. Evidence

Evidence:

Exhibit I

Usage of the Warehouse in order to host M14 rifles for smuggling voyages. Photos taken on July 13, 2016:

This case will be allowed to proceed on the charges of possession of an illegal weapon and possession of an illegal substance. The evidence submitted to this case is currently insufficient to demonstrate accessory to a crime. Refer to the Court's filing re: State v. Gvardia (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=117631.msg1849292#msg1849292).

The evidence leading to the warehouse raid has been declassified and is now available in the opening post, the reason why charges are pressed against different people despite no individual  evidence that they had illegal goods themselves is because VCPD was instructed to raid the entire warehouse by Chief Inspector Klaus. This involves the fact that legal weapons are confiscated, as the warehouse itself was discovered to be used for illegal activity. While the whole warehouse was raided, some tenants were found to have illegal goods themselves in their own lockers - this is why they're being sued.

Defendant has sold the warehouse without a word in this case, probably to clear himself of potential charges.

The case is to proceed normally regardless of the current status of the property and orders the defendant to submit a plea of guilty, not guilty, or no contest.

Honorable Judge,

I confess about the following charges:

However, I did not have any knowledge of what my Tenants were storing. I deny any knowledge of what items or weapons they had stored in their lockers. I am not associated with any of their criminal activities.

Does the State wish to contest the not-guilty plea for conspiracy?

The State merely wishes to say that given the incredible amount of illegal weaponry found at the warehouse, including that of himself and two relatives of his, Mr. Shady Singh and Mr. Stiff Singh, demonstrates how it is almost entirely impossible for Mr. Monty Singh to not have had any knowledge of the fact.

We do not wish to submit any more evidence to back up this charge.

Mr. Shady and Mr. Stiff are not related to me. I don't even like Shady becuase he smells of cheeseballs. We all embrace Sikhism, but Shady preaches about the new guru's teachings that I do not like.

Stiff and me are not even close and he never shares anything personal with me. While having a beer, he once told me that his real name is Satbeer and his mother still calls him "Sattu"(A multi-grain stuffing that tastes like shit) which is embarrassing haha. He would never tell me about his warehouse storage.

The "Singh" name is not a family last name. Every Sikh believer and several non-sikhs carry it is a middle name.
Quote
Singh /ˈsɪŋ/ is a title, middle name or surname, which originated in India. Derived from the Sanskrit word for lion, it was adopted as a title by certain warrior castes in India.[1] It was later adopted by several castes and communities, including the Sikhs, whose Guru Gobind Singh mandated it for all the baptized males. As a surname or a middle name, it is now found throughout the Indian subcontinent and among the Indian diaspora, cutting across communities and religious groups.

My only relative is Baljeet Singh Bhalla, who is a honest hard-working citizen. He absolutely hates guns, so we call him "Bullet" to annoy him haha.

Fair enough, the State appreciates Mr. Manpreet Singh Bhalla for going in such fine details and has nothing more to add regarding the conspiracy charge.

The State rests its case.

I hope the court can announce the final verdict on this case soon, so I can handle the settlement.
To summarize the case, I confess about possession of illegal weapons and explosives. All the other accusations are void.

Argonath Federal Court
for the
State of Florida, Vice City

In the matter of the Case of
State v. Singh

COURT RULING

The Court hereby renders the following verdict for the case of State v. Singh:

Charge         Verdict
One (1) count of possession of restricted firearmsGuilty by plea
One (1) count of possession of a controlled substanceGuilty by plea
One (1) count of conspiracyNot Guilty

The Court finds the evidence for conspiracy lacking. Review of the evidence shows no mention of the defendant in this case, and evidence of a connection by family name is circumstantial at best, with this claim having been disputed by the defendant.

The defendant has pled guilty to all other charges.

As the defendant did not plead guilty to all charges, the Court will not be taking the State's plea deal into consideration. However, the demands made by the State will not be fulfilled outright due to the dismissal of the conspiracy charges.

The Court hereby sentences the defendant to 5 years (15 minutes) for the two possession charges. The defendant is ordered to pay a fine of $10,000 for possession of controlled materials. As the defendant has been sentenced to time in prison, this court ruling shall also serve as a warrant for the defendant's arrest.

The State asked for a fine of $25,000 for possession and conspiracy charges. I'm not going to go four times over what they're asking for, especially when one of the charges was dropped. Plus, if the weapons were seized and jail time is granted, a six-figure fine isn't extremely necessary.
