Title: What's up with the group support system?
Post by: Mark on August 06, 2016, 02:59:48 pm
[SA:MP] Group Support System- [UPDATED: 05/08/16]  (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=108528.0)

This topic was essential to understand how to get a group recognized/official. We have seen recently that a group which has been around for less than month hit the recognized status in a mysterious way. I want HQ to clarify what's going on with the way a group can hit the two status and why groups that have been known to be causing lot of mess CnR style are considered "roleplayers" over other groups that actually try do something different than just fucking around with people because "we are the russian mafia, pew pew"; did the old standards go so low or somebody here is taking decisions alone and trying to cover that?

Could you also explain why Eymas reply got removed from here? http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=117385.msg1850581#msg1850581
Do you really need a tag to hit official? Who said that and why isn't it mentioned in that topic then?

If something has been changed in the way groups can hit these two status, it would be nice to let us know.

My guess is Carbon acted drastically by giving them RECOGNIZED status and than Leon acted drastically by outright removing it and they hit a middleground where the status will remain until the tiniest fuckup..

That's just my guess and my perceived reality where there isn't a way the HQ isn't keeping us in the dark and changing rules.

Would be great to actually hear what's happening.

"You can apply for recognized status around month of solid activity."
All I can see that the HQ ain't following the 'rules'.

I tried talking to Carbon last night but he didn't seem interested. System was just fine the way Rusty and Devin made it. The only issue with it is that no one felt like updating group status' anymore.

No offense but Carbon is obviously failing to see the 'recognized' rank is not supposed to be taken so literally.
Rules are written, there are criterias to meet. Groups which don't meet the criterias should not be considered.

Looks like a rushed decision and if getting Official requires your faction to have a "tag" then that shit is dumb as fuck.  That shouldn't even be a discussion point.

If you want to know how to see a group earns such status look at when Inglewood Crips got theirs.

Things need to be discussed before they can happen. This wasn't.

Indeed. But hey, it's Argonath

No need to jump to conclusions. There was obviously a misunderstanding within HQ. Give them time to work it out, and we'll see the outcome.

Code: [Select]
[17:18:03] Djole(50) says [Serbian accent]: They're a group with a tag and we're a tagless group
[17:18:18] [Rstar]Carbon(17) says: How you can be recognized then?
[17:18:40] Djole(50) says [Serbian accent]: So you're telling me that we need to have a tag = familiy name to get recognized status?
[17:18:55] [Rstar]Carbon(17) says: Check forums for the rules, i didnt wrote them :/
[17:19:15] Djole(50) says [Serbian accent]: Afaik a tag is not necessary
[17:19:16] [Rstar]Carbon(17) says: Been there for years

What exactly did this group do to get this status? Afaik there has been numerous rule-breaks by members of their group which isn't exactly behavior that should be shown by a recognized group.

I guess the way groups are treated in this server depend on who they're affiliated with.

If you have this urge to be a smartass and post something, at least read what was said before. Obviously there was a misunderstanding and the HQ is looking into it

Nah seems like one HQ member going lone wolf and the rest not agreeing with it. Their status hasn't been removed.

Let's lock this man. No discussion here at all, we all know where this is gonna go.

Let's just revoke people's right to post, we all know where it always goes? With this kind of attitude, every topic is doomed indeed.

If anyone else feels like going off topic or expressing personal grudge against other groups or individuals, just don't post at all.

Stay on topic.

I'd assume he/she was not yet aware of how things are meant to go, which is why I am still here instead of following my fellows from the past.
As for their status, that will be decided later.

Lots of hypocrisy in this topic.

This is really concerning, such actions shouldn't be made alone but with the opinion of all the members of the HQ, thought that was the reason why the topic says the group has to apply to be recognized.

It's not even a discussion. Management has answered.
