Title: New jobs ideas

Allright... so after I saw how hard it is to get to a reasonable amount of money in a shorter time... and the lack of jobs for new players... I thought of these jobs that would be very simple to implement in script and very easy and simple to do for new players:

1. Garbage worker
You could finally make use of the trashmaster truck , drive around the city and collect trash, then drive back to the scrapyard after the trashmaster is filled up.
commands: /taketrash - on a trash point, could be a dumpster or something , /unloadtrash - on the scrapyard after the truck is full.
Awards could be set by whatever value might seem reasonable (I honestly dont know).

2. Bus driver
NOTE: Yes, before everyone goes "theres already a bus in the taxi driver / taxi rank" no. This is different.
You could drive around town (similar to the garbage worker job) and stop at bus stops. You must stay on the bus stop for a certain amount of time before moving on. Passangers (as in players) could enter and pay for a ticket ($10) , otherwise if there are no passangers you could get $5.

3. Bodyguard
I saw this job on a SAMP server before I came here. People could buy protection and body armor from you. Great for rp purpouses.
command: /guard [id]

4. Hot dog vendor
You know those hot dog carts that you can see around LC? Why not have a hot dog vendor people could buy hotdogs from!
commands: /buyhotdog [id]

(OPTIONAL) 5. Gruppe Sechs
Gruppe sechs would be same as trucking, just you would deliver money in securicars to banks. Gruppe sechs workers could equip guns and body armor , and it would be great for RP purpouses for example robbing a securicar etc.
commands: /pickmoney, /delivermoney /train [id].
NOTE: I honestly think this job should be for more experienced players, i.e. not the ones likely to just DM everyone. It could work same as the police training, someone can /train security guards to filter out the newcomers who would just DM.

That's actually a good idea. I support it as it will bring a lot of fun, and it will bring some roleplay scenarios, and maybe will start many roleplays if players know how to really have fun when doing this job.

2. Bus driver

I don't think this one is a good idea. It would not bring any kind of roleplay, as it does not and will not create any kind of interaction between players. This job can be done between players, so I think it should be instead done between players, so players will interact with each other, which is currently available in the current taxi system.
All it needs is some creativity from the driver, and the will of roleplay by the other players.



3. Bodyguard
I saw this job on a SAMP server before I came here. People could buy protection and body armor from you. Great for rp purpouses.
command: /guard [id]

It can be done by roleplay. And as for the body armor, It shouldn't be given to the players as it will be abused. This armor is currently given only to the NOOSE TRU members (Edited: No armor is given in game, my bad). Simply, the server bad synchronization is an armor to players itself.


(OPTIONAL) 5. Gruppe Sechs

This is a nice idea, but I believe it is better when done by the players. Players should start a roleplay about delivering some kind of high-class cargo in the securicars (Stockade), and if the players really have the will of roleplay, they would do much better than the script can do.

1,4 and 5 were already done by players who did it all by RP, so i dont see a need for script support.

All Veterans know who is Honigsenf the best hot dog stand seller by far, he made events and took people in to work for him so should be easy to follow his example and RP hot dog salles.

LSS  ( Lucchese Sanitation Service) we were the trashmaster drivers and workers, we still are but need to buy the property's we used for LSS.

Bodyguards so easly rped i dont even wanna go into it.

Tai had a taxi driver uniion idea to use bus with bus stops around the city, and he did it, again roleplay it.

 Gruppe Sechs was lead by @KhornateMonkey with great success.

All 3 groups are atm inactive and topics are closed, but you can see it was not needed to get a script support to work at all jobs you listed.

Hot Dog dealers Job can be done by Role play players can Role play it i guess  Nick_Smith And Andrew_Conte done it before and they were Working on that job and they /ad it so if it can be by Role play hotdogs dealers job

supported

  Gruppe Sechs me and bob123 were working on it as role play too we were transporting money to the bank as it is easy to role play it instead of adding a new job also this can be easy for players to role play so

So...I dont understnd your point...We can RP and crime and police jobs without those scripts too, but anyway we have scripts for them. IMO Garbage job is really good idea, why not? Also it would be good to get scripted hotdog seller's job. You  /hotdogs - join job, then /buy ingridients /make hotdogs(it can take some time like growing weed) then customer /buyhotdog ID, customer gets HP, but sellers gets some profit.

hotdog job would be done by rp /me gets the hotdog ready /i dont think it is needed to be added however its depense on the both players who can sell it in rp or in money

Allright... to clarify some things...
I hear a lot of you saying "these jobs can be roleplayed" yes they can. If the ONLY reason of this suggestion was roleplay, why would I even post it?!  :neutral2:
A small hint....
The only reason I would suggest scripting new jobs is... you guessed it...  :app:

And why? No, not because I would like to see a "Freeroam like  instantly gain millions upon millions of $ without doing anything" server made out of Argonath RPG. It's simple, let me explain...

Before I even posted it, I asked people whether "United States of Argonath" is a poor country. I got an answer... NOPE. It's the contrary, a very well off country.

Now asking something... if argonath is a wealthy country... wouldn't you fairly easily earn enough money to buy a car?

Answer is: YES. Yes you would.

And it's not only that.  The variety of jobs that we have here is... ugh...
Wanna earn money?
You can be a taxi driver... nobody needs taxi drivers. (Don't you dare mention removing state owned vehicles for this job to be more popular lol)
You can be a mechanic (they are rarely needed)
You can do fire(wo)man/medic missions... which are... okay...
and finally you can be a police(wo)man/ FBI Agent and earn 1k per jail or 200$ per kill.
There are these jobs like fishing or dealing drugs or trucking...
but thats it.
How many jobs are there? Answer: Including police and FBI (which you have to apply for) ... 9?
Thats not a lot. Not really immersive that you can choose only these.

The thing is... Player income is awful... and without scripted paychecks/paydays... I barely have 8k... and I have been playing on this server for a rather long time.

And it's not only me. A lot of players PM me and ask me for a loan...

Here's a reason to script all these:

Roleplaying a hotdog vendor can sometimes get you money... but whats most important is that you (the customer) dont actually get any health bonus from eating a hotdog  :sweat:

And jobs like the one with the trashmaster are a good , fairly easy and not OP way to earn money.

As I said... the Gruppe Sechs job is optional.

i love that idea, it will be great, btw we have many garbage station, so it can be used

Seems like you compared it with just urself. A well off country dosen't means every one is rich.

And you still can. Players can still earn enough money in 1 week or max 2 weeks to buy a car. (If you actually plan to earn)

Thats not a lot. Not really immersive that you can choose only these.
U think 9 is not enough? No matter how many new jobs are added people just try it a few times and then get back to their usual stuff.
Before trucker job was added, ppl were asking for something new job like trucker, fishing etc. Then later trucking was added, it was going good for the first 2-3 months, then people lost interest. Then recently fishing was added, Ppl did that too with curiosity, but later they lost interest. You can see only a few or hardly anyone doing trucking/fishing. Players will alwys continue to do the job thats pays the most alwys, so no matter how many new jobs are added only fireman and medics will be the most used currently.

The thing is... Player income is awful...
The income is much more today than we had before. If you didn't knew, before fireman mission use to pay 200$ and later on it was made 250$. But today, its 600$ or somewhere around it.

It dosnet matter how long you play, what matters is how long u work to earn or what business strategy you use.

You can earn around 2500$, so on a average you can earn 50k in a week. I wont blame the current jobs if you have only 8k or less after playing for a rather long time.
