Dear community members, as you may have noticed, the forums were down for two days. Gandalf has done some work to the forums, and sadly we lost quite a large amount of data during this. During the switch of hosts (?) there appeared to be some complications, and the only solution to this was returning to a backup taken three months ago, previous to when we moved to our last new host.
This means, any topics made after September twenty-fourth, any posts, or any punishments were revoked.
This includes all bans made on the forums. I could manually add all bans and punishments again, but I will give everyone that was punished during this period a second chance to either appeal their bans, any bans or warnings made will not be re-added unless actions are repeated.
We sincerely apologize for the lost data, and we will try to make sure something like this will never happen again. I am also in contact with Gandalf in order to get the appropriate access to maintain, and optimize all of the forums, as well as to make recent backups in case we ever need them.
The modify button, as well as quoting, and all other features on the forums should work again, do you by any chance spot a feature that appears to be broken, please contact me by private message, and I'll attempt to solve it as soon as possible.
We once again apologize, and feel free to leave any questions on this topic, please remember, even due to the bad circumstances to stay civilized.

You guys should switch over the hosting of the SA-MP ban database while you're at it. ;)

I mean meh, you got a point but I still haven't figured out how come they didn't make a backup all these months and how that data mess was done....

As for the people wondering, no we sadly are not able to get any topics back from the last three months, WHAT you could try and do is use the 'web archive', it's a public tool that regularly makes a 'backup' of the forum, a sort of snapshot, most information could be gathered from there if it was public.
As for the people wondering why there was a lack of backups. I sadly have not, and still do not have access to make backups, I would've made them if I would be able to. It also had nothing to do with the CSS (Which Djole appeared to think was the issue.) but there were issues with the core of the PHP version we used, as well as the website itself. Most of those issues have been solved, a few yet to be solved, which I'll address to Gandalf as soon as I speak to them (For example, avatars and post verification.) those items will be available as soon as possible.
If you have the name of your topic, I'll be willing to scout through the web archive to see if I can find it for you.

Oh no! My postcount!
-
I am happy we have a normal forum theme. My eyes are resting now!

Good luck trying but this will not work.

question, why wasn't a full backup made on 1/1/2017? that seems logical to me

RIP my old acc: !Michael.

You can upload your picture to imgur and post the link instead of uploading it here

Bye bye old account, hello post verification!

Why the hell on earth @Brian. , the FORUM WEBMASTER, does not have access to create backups?
This doesn't land well on the community, when the forum webmaster doesn't even have enough privileges to create backups of what he manages, the forum...
If you don't want to give him access, have a decent automated backup system do it for him. And not one that loses 3 months of activity...

This. It's simple!

Typically for a production site with this much content that would be true... would also be true if you said "2/1/2017" or "3/1/2017" or in fact, at least an incremental backup every day!
