Title: EFLC 1.1.3.0 and How to downgrade your game to patch 1.1.2.0 [OUTDATED]
Post by: Mark on January 22, 2017, 12:35:22 am
Since the old topic is gone after the rollback, i've decided to make a new one with all you what you need to know about latest patch.
This topic will remain open for discussions but remember, any off-topic comment will be removed by board moderators. Keep it clean :cop:

Before you ask, the patch is not compatible with IV:MP T3 version and never will be since the multiplayer mod was abandoned a long ago

Starting from client release R2, IVMP T4 supports the most recent patch (1.1.3.0) and also previous 1.1.2.0 patch.

Rockstar has released on 29/11/2016 an update for GTA IV (Patch 8 (https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/235650888)) and EFLC which aims at improving the user experience on W8, W8.1, W10 aswell as fixing bugs on modern video cards.
Quoted below the official changelog released on Rockstar's website:

Quote
Added error code "WTV270" to indicate a problem with connecting to Windows Live Sign in Assistant / Games for Windows Live Servers.
Added Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 to compatible OS check.
Added Display Controller image in Controller Configuration.
Fixed a bug which made completing "Out of Commission" mission impossible when frame rate exceeds 60fps.
Fixed a bug with the "Resource Usage" indicator on graphics cards with more than 2GB of VRAM.
Fixed a bug that restricted settings changes when using modern video cards.
Fixed a bug with the map crosshair on certain resolutions.
Fixed a bug with text scrolling in "Brief" Menu.
Fixed "drawlist overflow" crash.
Minor performance optimizations.

Starting from R2 release, the client NOW SUPPORTS latest 1.1.3.0 patch by Rockstar, in order to play on T4 you will need either EFLC 1.1.3.0. or 1.1.2.0

If you still wish to perform a downgrade please refer to this guide: How to downgrade your steam copy of GTA IV (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=118706.msg1861781#msg1861781)

Latest patch is not supported by IV:MP T3 and never will be as the client was abandoned a long ago.

Steam users who want to continue playing on IV:MP T3 may follow this guide (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=118706.0) in order to downgrade their game to the patch 1.0.7.0..

Also, based on what i've read on gtaforums, any mod that requires Scripthook (http://gtaforums.com/topic/390582-gtaivrelsrc-c-script-hook/) won't work on this patch and the developer of the mod hasn't showed up yet. Downgrade to 1.0.7.0 if you wanna use mods, you've been warned. XLiveless (http://gtaforums.com/topic/388658-relgtaiv-xliveless/) will work though, same goes for ENBs., try reinstalling it.

GTA: IV Multiplayer: Downgrade Guide

Last update: 10th of November, 2018 by Markk

IVMP T4 R2 DOES NOT REQUIRE A DOWNGRADE ANYMORE, IGNORE THIS GUIDE IF YOU WISH TO KEEP PATCH 1.1.3.0

This guide was written to help those users who wish to downgrade to Patch 1.1.2.0 (EFLC) or 1.0.7.0 (GTA IV) but have the steam version of the game.
Because Steam doesn't let you stop the automatic updates you will have the latest patch installed by default (Patch 1.0.8.0 discussion thread (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=118707.0)).

The guide was written based on this YT video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-e2g4V9pIM), if anything goes wrong we will try to help you out.

Read the guide carefully before making any change, you've been warned.

Step 1:

Browse through your game folder (This is the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV - The Complete Edition\EFLC ), rename it to anything you want except EFLC.

Now download the patch 1.1.2.0 from here (https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/articles/200145386), extract the zip to any folder you want (e.g. Desktop).

Step 2:

Once you have extracted the zip, open the folder and run as administrator this file: setup.exe; The patch files will be automatically moved into the game folder.
You will now have a folder called "EFLC" into your game folder.

Step 3:

Select all the files inside the new folder "EFLC", right click on your mouse "Cut" and copy the files inside the folder you renamed earlier (a.k.a. the original game folder). Once you have done that, rename the folder back to EFLC and you're done. You can delete the file paul.dll but i suggest you to backup it instead.

If downgrading using this method hasn't worked, please reply here and we will try to find a solution together.

THIS METHOD IS FASTER BUT YOU WON'T PATCH THE GAME FULLY
USE THIS ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BYPASS THE LONGER METHOD

I have found out a new method to downgrade, easier and faster for everyone. It should be working for EFLC aswell, it was previously written for GTA:IV 1.0.7.0 but it should work without issues, just keep in mind EFLC is in a different folder.

Hello everyone, i would like to start by thanking @MK_Lucifer for the idea, i have only modified his original method by finding out that you only need one file to make it work.

As you may know, Rockstar Games released a new patch for GTA IV on 29/11/2016 and since then most of players with a steam version or using a manually updated CD Version of the game had to downgrade to play IVMP T3.
Well, we have found an easier way to downgrade your game, all you have to do is backup your GTAIV.exe (https://mega.nz/#!idUCBR5Y!DzTYKOdlJqXUZJTyBtAYGXIVHzHgG4P01yGEDp-IuLU) from patch 1.0.7.0 and then run the patch, let it finish and put back the GTAIV.exe you have just backed up. EASY.

After that IVMP will still work and you will have a semi-patched game (semi because in order to be fully patched you need the .exe from patch 8), i believe some stuff that rockstar has updated will still work (maybe?) even though we have essentially downgraded our game.

ENBs run just fine, now i need your help on testing and see if you can find any issue that i may have missed out. I will be testing this too and keep this thread updated as much i can.
