Title: [IVMP] Removing/fixing the latest updates
Post by: Ramis on January 29, 2017, 09:51:57 am: As i've heard about the most recent updates of the server , i was pretty shocked.
Also im pretty angry about the anti-spam tool. Which will become annoying to everybody including admins very quickly I can bet. :rage:

Not everyone are willing to share their nation of residence. Including me. Especially when we crash every 10 minutes, these country names pop out annoyingly. I want at least to have a choice to hide/enable the country as we log in. /logincountry off / on and that it would set until the next time you turn it on, and would disable the "from Country Name" thing until you turn it on yourself as a choice.

I personally do not want this choiceless expose of a country of residence. Let it stay for admins to see even if we set it off though.

So , what i want is a way to turn off this as a choice. Just like we can set pm off.

Just my personal opinion.

We appreciate the feedback. Honestly, we thought this idea will be a nice surprise to most player especially since it was a very popular feature back on old Argo servers. We will look at the option and fine tune this feature.

Im okay about our old members , and not really about newcommers from my country starting to beg cash and cars then get cursed and sweared on when i refuse lol.
Afterall forum is used by more experienced people of community , anyway who checks my profile lol. Meanwhile in game ppl make jokes bout each other lol it became a parody relatively quickly. Anyway though the idea is nice , but idk if its fine as we crash every 5 mins to "advertise" our country 20 times a day when logging in lol.
Im an anti-patriot of my country and kinda makes me disgust every time i log in lol. Not the case for everyone supporting this though. Fairly simple historical reasons why i am not , but argonath is not history discuss server so wont tell what and why i have such relations with it.

Supported, true what you said, im with that, but what will that change if people can see in which country you live, i would say that those who dont want to show their countries means that they are not proud of their residence. anyway Ramis i think your talking about Personal rights and i respect that ;)

Cant help it , thats the way it is :cowboy: , due to some historical reasons , my historical country is overtaken by another which is present in the area at the moment a hundred years ago due to some questionable decisions at the time placed by both sides, about which the other side abused for its profit , as we have a coastal area as they didnt as well as very rich landscape as well , coast, trade routes , some oil , you know how it is. Ofcourse that doesnt mean im a person without a homeland or sth.

Hope anytime soon this will change in real form as well.

Wait, now did this server get closer to SA:MP with the coutry option? Well, I really do need to say that people often criticize others based on their country of origin, others just want to play with people who speak their native language or from their country. So, it is a good option to just make this type of command. We would be one step ahead in a good way compared to the SA:MP server.
Totally supported. Probably the spam-bot needs some improvements, as well.

Post by: superh2o on February 01, 2017, 11:51:07 am: At first didnt like this update, after 5-6h ig im starting to like it, the spam blocker slowed down the pace of many actions leaving you more time to rp or react, the country's are kinda cool and bad as same time, but overall new players do pm me more if they are from same region and as for help bypassing the lack of English that might been the problem on /p in total upadate is great optional toggle for county login would make the update epic, so unless the change is toggle of county locaton on/off i dont support no change.

Thats why setting it on/off will be possible , as well as administrators will be always be able to access it even if its off :D
By default it should be ON for new players unless you turn it off yourself.

But actually it's quite helpful to know where everyone is from and especially new players who come on the server with different Nationalities who may have different languages, it helps myself know where I and the players in communication. A part from residence, it's just showing the name of you country, not too personal just a Country name. If it was something like a State/suburb name basically more specific detail of where your from, then it would be concerning.
