[Guide] How to customize the background by yourself (Back to the top) (#post_top)
- Copy your favorite picture/theme. (1680x1050 resolution, PNG format recommended)
- Navigate to where your GTA:IV & IV:MP is installed. (Run: %SystemDrive% > Program Files > Rockstar Games > Grand Theft Auto IV)
- Go to "IVMP\CEGUI\imagesets" directory.
- Paste the picture/theme, Rename the picture to "IVMPBackground.png".
- (Additional Step) Rename the logo to "IVMPLogoHiRes.png" if there's any.
You're done!

- Q1: My picture is not in PNG format?
- A1: Get Paint.NET, Install it, Open the picture using it & Click File > Save As: PNG format.
- Q2: My picture is not in 1680x1050 resolution?
- A2: Open Paint.NET, Open the picture & Click Image > Resize:
- A2: Uncheck Maintain Aspect Ratio, Set Pixel Size Width to 1680 & Height 1050, Click OK & Save it.
*Picture might get stretched.
- Q3: Where can i get Paint.NET?

- Q4: I forgot to backup the picture!

Known Bugs:
- Background music does not start/cuts 5-10 seconds after launching it [UAC-Bug] (Solution below)
- Changes to bg_theme.xml does not change the background music and the loading screen [UAC-Bug] (Solution below)
- GTA V Loadscreen is bugged when running under 1024x768 screen resolution
- If the IV:MP client crashes on start, You can hear the background music about 5-10 seconds after the crash and stops 3 seconds later
- (Windows 8+ Users) "Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk" (Solution: Click "More info" and Click "Run anyway")
