Hey, Hevar, I found an article regarding the Windows 10 Game Mode, which I think will help you! :fly:

I think when you turn it on and playing game , it closes off backround running applications , to give you better fps I guess.

''If you use Windows 10, Microsoft say the new Game Mode will allocate more GPU and CPU power to videogames, resulting in higher, more consistent frame rates.''
''The feature might not work with all games straight away, but it'll be as simple as pulling up the Game Bar and activating it to get a performance boost'', Microsoft say
''A free performance boost will come to all your games soon, if you're a Windows 10 user, thanks to a new and improved Game Mode.''
Boost for games basically

It's a worthless update, barely does anything at all (except for the ones that uses the creative part though).

I updated and it made me need to downgrade my Nvidia-drivers due it not being compitable with Creators Update and it made me to recive wierd artifacts when I tried to boot my PC. Downgraded the Nvidia-drivers and turned gamemode off and boom everything works perfectly again.

It won't make any noticeable difference if you have a good CPU and GPU (Pretty much anything that can run AAA 2016 games at minimum settings). It will, however, make a difference if you have a shit HDD and sometimes get lag spikes due to Windows 10's 'maintainence and telemetry'.

Game mode makes most difference in Windows Store games and on low-end PCs (refer to LinusTechTips video already posted here).
Other than that, Creators Update did bring along Night Mode and dark UI and few others nits and tweaks that I do like.
