As the groups numbers are getting more and more i dont see why /group script shouldnt be implented as it would help the group members a lot. By keeping track of their members , ranks and many other stuffs.

Basically how it should work is same as SAMP script but a bit different.

Getting in-game Group
Once group topic has been made it needs 2 weeks minimum to show activity and everything. Although giving /group to players shouldnt be easy , it should be hard , way harder than SAMP. However players should make a decent topic , not just topic which has members written and thats all. it should have all the information about the group , the story , the members , decent pictures and such.

How it should work
Once the group has been given , the founder should have all the rights. member of the groups should be able to store 5+ vehicles inside the group , have a property as an HQ and A business as main family business.

Status
Now to status , at first once the group is made , its status should be on Review status , meaning have to be accept or denied for in-game group. Once the group has been given , the group should have Normal status. Official for those who deserves it , meaning continues activity and such.

Not needed when there's like 3 criminal groups on whole server and 2 dead/half assed ones.

NAR for example has like over 10 members (some inactive but point remains), that's making it 30 cars+ flowing into server total vehicles, don't need to make it 35 just cause it's a group. Don't forget unlike SAMP cops can actually do something here so having group vehicles and group HQ would overcomplicate raids since the charges couldn't be pressed against owner.

Members system
When a neW member join or left , kicked etc you shold inform in your group topic for not getting wrong shootouts in game when they see their enemy online they will rp attacking killing and shit so it will be good to know about the members .

Most of the vehicles you are talking about at Havana are people's personal vehicles , phoenix , infernus isnt NAR/Gang vehicles.

I don't care if you use your Infernus for stunting or as a vibrator, you have 3 vehicle slots, which is 2 more than enough, why would groups get bonus slots? Plus we have to make sure that scripts make some sense court-wise, if the cars used in crimes are registered not in owners name but in groups name, who's to be blamed if a car is proven to be used for crimes? In reality I guess if you want to do this you'd register them in some business' name, but even then the business' owner's name can be pulled.

Not to mention that anytime I go past by Havana/Haiti I already have the eyesore of 20 cars parked anywhere so I clearly fail to see a problem of players not having enough vehicle slots.
And then there's another problem with your idea which is that we'll have to handle 4 paki group applications a day because mr mohabebhajidi2017 heard he can get a group status so he asks us to make his golden shadows / black shadows / freestyle / the killing deds / xxxpussyslayers gang a real group.
What I also love about the lack of group script on VCMP is that unlike SAMP which has lots of dead groups with just 1 player who still enjoys being able to use 8 vehicles  / other advantages, VCMP gangs require actual manpower to manage (want to buy 10 houses in your hood? get actual members to buy them, unlike samp where several players own 1/4 of towns on single account)

I will consider debating with the dev team whether maybe buying big businesses should increase your vehicle limit however. Would make sense that if you buy some infirmary you can buy a bonus van using the business as excuse, and so on.

Agreed with everything said here. Actually the part about the paki group names gave me a good laugh because it's so true.

On the topic of cars specifically, if you actually look at the current state every gang has gang cars already. NAR for example have several red Voodoo's, SS have a ton of black marked sentinels and limousines and shit, Soprano have Dark Blue Sentinels, even Gvardia have a couple Admirals in their possession. This proves a point: We don't need scripts that give gangs any extra shit. Like Marcell perfectly explained, "VCMP gangs require actual manpower to manage (want to buy 10 houses in your hood? get actual members to buy them".

You want to buy shit? Get some people over and work your ass off (or hunt ogra's for a week, 12+ hours a day) to get your gang setup on the single most expensive building in the game.  :balance:

One thing that could be a possibility is having custom skins for gangs, if agreed by developers. I think this along with some kind of graffiti system would be a nice touch for group roleplay.

Also it'd be cool for a script to check all properties within a district and list the clan [TAG] that holds the most properties within that district. That way you can see which group has the biggest dominance in that area.

It is next to impossible to get all possible clantags to show up

etc the list goes on and on. This is an easier check from the database than it is to script out.



As for specific gangs skins, I don't like it. That screws over newer players by giving regulars access to something they cannot access (yes, I know VCPD already has this but it is the only exception to the rule)

You want graffitis? Make the graffiti properly and talk with Marcell about it's possible implementation.

That's why I posted the idea in this topic. It's a reason to implement James' original idea of some kind of group recognition, so the server is aware of all the registered groups and their tags.

I wouldn't say it "screws over" newer players. I think you're being way too conservative. Firstly, the skins would be supplied by the gangs themselves (if accepted by devs). If a new player wanted to start his own crew and had a custom skin that was acceptable, I'm sure the devs would support him as long as he was able to convince his group was active etc. Secondly, regular players should have more access than new players, it's a completely normal concept for any roleplay server. Can a new player buy a brand new Stinger? Or a Mnasion on Starfish Island? Does a new player have access to sell Cocaine/Heroin on the Black Market?

You want graffitis? Make the graffiti properly and talk with Marcell about it's possible implementation.
There are better ways we can do graffiti.

Eh, I wouldn't like seeing gang specific skins, especially since those would be sold at all clothes shops and would still be available for anyone to use. We already have a system where if someone makes a sick skin or few, he can talk with managers about getting them implemented to the server.

Same is with graffitis, but obviously there is a limit to how much we can / will add to the server so the download for a first time player doesn't get too massive (people with 256 kbps internet is pretty common in VC:MP)

Obviously if a skin was gang specific, it wouldn't be found in clothes shops, just like it is currently with VCPD specific skins.
