Title: Cops and their rules
Post by: jovanca on June 25, 2017, 04:29:52 pm
Last night i was a witness to a bunch of cops returning after death and randomly deathmatching people around the map (several different cops and scenes) yet the staff members who were online at the time, despite several reports, didn't issue a single punishment (unless redname in public 'cops stop deathmatching' and 'cops returning after death is not allowed' count as punishment). Regular players would have been temp banned at the very least.

I would like HQ to clarify the rules cops have to follow and consequences they will face if they break those rules, because they certainly don't get punished for breaking basic server rules.

I pretty often witness cops returning after death. I also keep reporting but nothing happens.  :cop:

Yep, basically using the lame excuse "lell wtf we didnt know" but instead they're familiar with server rules but they get pissed off by dying from a few outnumbered criminals. And its not like after 2 hours or something, it actually happened after a few minutes because alive cops were engaging us they felt bad and came helping them. Claiming "different scene" is also retarded but what is worse its that our fellow SAPD ( who rage for losing 2v2 shootout xd) are allowing them and not interferring in any way even if they're being told. They quickly arm them up and kill you cuz cops are 2 busy to engage criminalz instead of rping. Rping is boring, engaging criminals is better wtf u talking about.

And um yeah or some dark blue officer using wall hack to see 1 suspect in heli far away on building because "/mdc" "no car" even if we just got suspsected and coming from San Fierro. We simply got shot down with no engagement/any other kind of interaction amd there couldnt be any way to be seen by him or anyone else. And um yeah, reporting that is pointless, 3 admins (1 manager) not responding to /report even if there is valid proof of blatant deathmatching by SAPD officer who never broke server rules !!!

Keep doing that and you'll see how your average of players decrease to umm 5 daily maybe, where 2 will go criminal and 3 cops so they can have fun together because no one giving a fuck lol.

Well basic cop rules can ben found on the ARPD site.
You can report ARPD members there.

I have seen several cops punished for breaking server rules also.
But well, at times bad things can happen with nobody watching or able to do anything.

There's a difference between server rules and arpd regulations. In this case, server rules were broken.

It's great to see feedback on the matter from the community, We will be cracking down on not only Police but regular citizens who return after death and act all "innocent" meanwhile they have been actively playing the server for 6 months+

Especially a matter that has come to my attention from multiple players about players dying in a "gang war" etc, and returning on Police duty to either get revenge or just to lower their killers notoriety in general.
Players will be receiving harsh punishments if these sorts of acts are to continue. So be warned.

It'd be great to see the management of this community actually act on that feedback instead of being all talk and zero action.

That is why i mentioned i have seen cops being punished for breaing server rules also.
You can always report them, that is where it is for. All rules apply to anyone.

Maybe i just miss the point, the same rules apply for everyone. Why wouldnt it go for cops?

Hey while we're at this as well, can we actually punish cops for DM instead of copbanning them? Thanks.

Rules should be applied the same way for everyone but in a lot of cases they don't.
