The community is close enough to being hijacked, or at least the known subjects. Soon enough the forums will be taken too, and the bp will be hacked into aswell, forcing the community leaders out of their positions, being replaced by the hackers and force Argonath into a different direction.
The whole wiki has been broken into and changed, so as the SA:MP server. And as we all know the SA:MP server is the main source of the playerbase for Argonath and has been that way for a very long time.
Maybe this is the Argonath Member Rebellion? :war:

The only database breached to my knowledge is the RS5 one. The password encryption on that database has been upgraded to a more secure algorithm in 2015. While the database may have been sabotaged, the passwords should still be safe as it would require a supercomputer to decode them.

Yea, because you can totally hack a residential user with just their WAN IP address... /sarcasm
But seriously I don't think they have a phishing site set up and quite honestly I think if you're gullible enough not only to fall for a phishing page, but to also re use passwords across sites, you probably need to get hacked in order to learn your lesson.

Yep I'm just giving a warning cuz you know if the links are not IP Loggers, the links might lead to "drive-by" pages which can infect any user who visits them. :)

Why do you pay that much of attention to this? It's just another obstacle we need to pass through. Argonath is almost 11 years old I doubt some troll on the same age can stop entire community.

Even if the MuchRetarded Cena hacks into forum, it'd be so easy to get it back. There are many ways to be used.

The shit UNEXPECTED CENA made many videos on hacking only on argonath. Their aim is to shut this community by hacking and other shits...This server should get extra security measures, until lets pray for argonath to be back :janek:

The server has security protections. The other services have measures to safeguard them from hackers as well. But as you probably know, not every protection works under every single circumstance. You prevent security incidents where possible, detect them whenever they happen, repress any damage they can cause and if that doesn't work, you repair any damage done.
Security isn't a fixed/static thing you perform once, it is a continuous process that is aimed at evaluating security incidents and improving the overall security of the community.

The wiki issue has been solved, nothing was breached on that site.
An old editor still had its rights and since the wiki was dormant, he was able to edit most of the wiki without anyone being able to revoke his rights, that issue has been resolved now, wiki is back to its orginally status and new editors are being assigned to return its activity, the wiki will also be upgraded to a newer version to make sure everything is fresh and safe.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Regarding the SA:MP server, we're doing our best to return the services as soon as possible but we're also looking at the security aspect of things and are hoping to make sure similar situations will not occur in the future.

I could say that the guy who edited the wiki was angry on Svensson, therefor a lot of text toward The Svensson Family crew was written on several pages on the wiki.
It wasn't our fault though regarding the sabotage on the wiki. We try to fight mikal and timon as well.

Hi, let's not throw accusations just because you don't like them, they probably left the community permanently and are doing something better and useful with their life, rusty was one of the most skilled and fair managers ever and I AM pretty sure they wouldn't waste their time hacking outdated wiki's, thanks for your contributions.
