Vice City Police Department
Vehicle Impound Regulations
This is a public notice board created to inform the citizens about the exercise of parking enforcement authority by the Vice City Police Department.
I. When can my vehicle be impounded?
Your vehicle can be impounded by a VCPD Officer if it breaks the following parking laws:
• Vehicle may not be parked infront of state owned buildings, including private properties without an owner.
• Vehicle may not be parked on someone else's private property if the owner does not consent to it.
• Vehicle may not be parked in the middle of the road or otherwise obstruct traffic
• Vehicle may not be parked on a sidewalk in a way that it would obstruct pedastrian or cyclist traffic.
• Vehicle may not be parked in the territory of emergency services or in any way obstruct their work.
• Vehicle may not be parked in front of bussinesses without the consent of the bussiness owner.
• Vehicle may not be parked in no-parking zones established by traffic signs and road markings.
• Vehicle may not be parked outside a parking lot when there is one near-by.
The set fine for breaking any of these parking regulations is 1000 Argonath Dollars. Repeated parking violations might result in doubled fine.
II. How do I unimpound my vehicle?
• Contact a member of the VCPD to file an unimpound request for you or request one yourself in the ARPD forums.
• Pay the fine to the officer who registers your request. Make sure to take screenshots of the fine paid if you post the request yourself.
• Sergeant will approve your request and your vehicle will be unimpounded.
• Collect the vehicle from the police impound.
Please note that if your vehicle remains in the Impound Lot for more than two weeks, an additional payment of 500ARD will be introduced to your vehicle each week, as the Impound Lot is a paid service that is only sponsored by the state for the first two weeks.
Evidence of each parking violation that leads to an impound is hosted in the VCPD database. You have the right to request evidence of your vehicle being in breach of parking regulations and it will be provided to you.
III. What happens if I do not pay the fine?
If you fail to pay the fine and retrieve your vehicle from the Impound Lot within 8 weeks of your vehicle being impounded, you willl be revoked of the vehicles ownership and the vehicle will be surrendered to the state as the compensation for use of the Impound Lot.

Sir Adams,
When I had my green Cheetah impounded I was asked on a fine of 15,000 ARD by former cadet, now SWAT Operative xioa. instead of the here-stated fine of 1,000 ARD.
The event happened last year in September/October/November, while you still were a serving as a chief.
I would like to demand a refund of 14,000 ARD, or if you don't agree, an explanation on why I shouldn't get the stated amount.

Dear citizen,
If you truthfully believe you were being treated unfairly by one of our officers, we advice you to file an ARPD complaint at ARPD Complaint Section (http://arpd.argonathrpg.com/forum/index.php?board=188.0) against the officer with evidence of such act. If the Internal Affairs Investigation finds the office guilty of the misconduct accused, he will get issued a VCPD punishment, and it will also warrant you a court case which you can use to demand the said compensation from the officer directly, as the Vice City Police Department cannot be held accountable of the action of this officer, since our regulations do not allow such fine neither did they allow fines of this size before the changes in the system.
