Argonath RPG - A World of its own

Hello there, fellow officers and citizens,
Let's start with that - Argonath is a roleplay server. Whether light, medium or heavy, is not important. Let's grasp the fact that it's a roleplay server to begin with. Which means - your actions have to make sense within the most basic realms of realism. Yet, what has been observant for the past few days, is anything but that.
It has come to a point where the server is divided into groups of people that are "worth playing with" and those that are here merely to grind minimissions and deathmatching, bringing nothing but toxic attitude and division into the community. Not a very welcoming environment, no?
Understand that you do not play alone, that those playing in the cop role sacrifice much, both financially and fun wise. Trust me, with the current attitude towards the police role, being one is anything but fun. A single person gets wanted and it soon escalates into the whole server versus three - four police officers online. It makes no sense, most of it has no roleplay basis whatsoever and people just find bullcrap excuses to aid each other just for the fun to kill cops and get packs. Enough is enough.
We must all work together to improve the environment in the server and to start promoting roleplay, something that should be prefered over killing cops, over chasing criminals, over smuggling and over minimission grinding.
VCPD, on its own initiative, will take their first steps towards such goal.
1. VCPD will not be allowed to return after death for a week.
There have been a lot of discussion from both police officers and criminals alike regarding the "No return" rule. A lot of people have voiced that it doesn't seem fair that police officers can return after death, while civilians and criminals are not and are heavily restricted from doing so.
We will now, on our own initiative and after a discussion with Server Management, enforce a rule of no returning after death for a week to try and see how would it turn out. If it turns out a good initiative that would contribute to the roleplay environment, this rule might or might not end up as an official rule or a VCPD regulation, with some modifications if needed. If not - we can always simply withdraw the idea.
2. Means of combatting deathmatching
To circumvent issues mentioned in the introduction of the post, we will now become selective of the people we choose to interact with. Which means that you should not be surprised if you randomly kill someone or instigate a deathmatch and see no-one responding to your desire to "pwn sum cupz" that belongs to a server I rather not name, or that we refuse to subdue a smuggle, because people of two rival gangs are smuggling just to get a chance at shooting some cops. I've checked it with the HQ, it's completely within our right. We will no longer provide the satisfaction of cop hunting.
In other words, those who will prove themselves a completely incapable of logical RP may find themselves ignored by the VCPD or simply being uncrimed. Go ahead and grind those ogras. How long will you keep it up? Challenge is part of the fun. We'll take away that aspect from you if you decide to be toxic.
Changes take effect today.

To add on top of Huntsman's post, this is a limited time experiment and server rules remain unchanged.
VCPD officers may choose not to follow this and they will not receive any action from the administration nor will they be discharged ingame as they are playing cop as it is currently intended. However VCPD may choose to discipline it's own officers (and cadets) depending on your decision in regards to cooperating with this decision.
TL;DR Server rules remain unchanged, cops are still able to go back and try to get the criminals as many times as they wish and will receive no punishment from server admins given that the current server rules that apply are all followed.

This rule is now suspended as we discuss the outcome of the test.

Well, your illiteracy is not our problem. We made it clear it is a limited period experiment that the majority of staff wanted to try out, and that it expires within a week.

Yeah you're right, I really wanted to play when cops aren't allowed to return. so is there any conclusion of this limited experiment?? I mean, any results?
