Argonath RPG - A World of its own

This topic isn't for causing arguments or causing allegations. Just thought that a gaming community shouldn't lose so many players when gaming hasnt died.
SA:MP, Argonath's once most popular server, is clearly dead. I can't tell if it has to do with SA:MP as a whole or it's just Argonath SA:MP, but it's not working like it should. I am saddened to see that. I installed the game over a year later and see 3 players at at three different times of the day.
It could be because of the dying game or the leadership (which tbh I wasn't personally satisfied with before I stopped playing), but I think its time to either make some changes to SA:MP, close it down for better resource investment or create a server which can create a large players from new players and old players, hopefully the former.
I can't find any attempt of creating new roleplay servers based on newer games. Perhaps the craze of roleplay has died? Fine, the RPG has died, Argonath can have other servers.
Argonath started with GTA, why not bring new GTA servers? IDK what other games are popular these days, why aren't they being discussed? Has Argonath lost some of its leaders as well who could bring some newer games to the community?

To be quite honest with you, that's exactly what is happening right now. The players are more than welcome to contribute with ideas on what games they would like to be included.

A community that is so popular for GTA, should have atleast the new GTA V servers?
I don't have much idea about video games anymore, I am sure others who are still actively gaming can tell us a few games that are popular these days and can be hosted on Argonath.
I do think that pure casual gaming is more popular these days. Are there any such games that have a massive playerbase that can have a dedicated host, and use those to make servers like GTA V gain some popularity?

Good points. As far as GTA V goes, there will be an announcement on that in the very near future, so certainly stay tuned for that.
As far as other, more casual games go, i'm sure there are other community members who can point us in the right direction.

First Off All, strike of RPG off the name and move to other fields.
FiveM is one of the best to move to as even in RPG field, it has a high playerbase.
We can host servers in many games which allow it. Idk what happened to the Dayz server but something similar would actually be pretty nice. An Apocalyptic RPG.
I heard Fallout 76 is online.
Also maybe some DM based games can be worked on. It will open our community to a high variety of things. Exactly what a gaming community needs. And it would be good for so many players.
I heard that Brian is working on a new forum. Maybe speed it up. Old SMF is not very efficient. Also a modern forum look will help newer people.
I forgot what I had to say after it. I will add it later.

As far as GTA V multiplayer goes, we are currently testing some stuff and deciding on which mod to go with. Mostly technical stuff to see what fits us best. Right now, FiveM seems to be the most promising and stable mod, including their high playerbase.
You are right about Brian testing new forum software. That's still in the works but as far as other software goes, IP.Board seems the most promising due to having a converter for SMF. This means we can keep the boards, posts and users.

Eventho I can't run gta 5 but still it is healthy for the whole community. It shouldn't be held back due to some people who can't run it.
