Title: Phone speaker
Post by: HemanthTG on September 23, 2018, 12:12:15 pm
The tittle says all. Y'all know, if we turn on the phone speaker, the players around us can hear it too. So if someone do /me takes the phone from XXX and turns on the speaker, the player who turned it on and nearby the player would be hearing the other side's voice.

The command will be /phonespeaker ON to toggle it on and /phonespeaker OFF to toggle it off,

Discuss about the idea. Cheers.

It is a realistic idea, but what's the point of it? Either way, sure, but I don't know whether to support or unsupport until you answer my question.

In my opinion it could be a radio instead for more realism. Radio sound is loud and of course play radio channels. Buy a radio from any electronics shop, place it on the ground and play whatever you want. Anyway, supported

It seems you haven't took a look at the subject.

That's a Supported from me too. Make a topic about it. I would love to blast some Royal Blood near MGS.

I'm not an IV:MP player but this can be abused by not roleplaying, then turning their speaker on/off while you don't want them to. In my opinion, I see no point in this. If the player is your friend and you grab their phone to turn on the speaker, there's no point because they will tell you what they discussed for, either way. In different occasions, why would you want to grab a stranger's phone and turn the speaker on?

You can't control other people's phones, only yours.

It actually improves the roleplay when someone wants to hear his friend's call. (Sorry for not replying, I didn't even notice this reply tbh). :)

As Kolta said, you can't operate others' phone and also, he can't directly take the phone and turn the speaker on without their permission. It's all done by roleplay. In case, if someone does /me tries to grab the phone from XXX and turns the speaker mode on. If you have looked deeply in that sentence, there is a word "try". So, there are two choices to confirm the scene. 1st - Roll the dice and have the results. 2nd (S/F) - (You already know this, anyway I will explain for those who don't know this. ;P) By this method, the 1st person says if that was a success or a failure. If he says failure, he have to mention the reason why the 2nd person can't take the phone from him.
