Hello,

When I first wrote the level and experience system I didn't really know what I was doing, the simplest method was every 1,000 points is a level. However that isn't how this works in traditional systems, and is for many reasons broken. I am much more knowledgeable now and know the mathematical way to handle these calculations. I will be performing a change to that very algorithm which determines your level from experience.

Without a doubt, you will drop a lot of levels as this new system cause experience needed per level to scale based on your level. In addition, some tasks may require more or less experience, math is fun.

What is the gain? Most systems which use a level/experience will reward to scale based on experience/level. In addition, failure chances will be also calculated.

The new system will go live this Friday, you will need 50,000 experience for level 20. You will need 5000 exp for level 2.

Feel free to try and figure out that algorithm.

You should change the way EXP is earned (like how much).

Am too old in the system hence my questions:

1. Why do we need this?
2. How exactly is xp earned? An example would be great.
3. How will rp be created with this?  Asking cuz of the last sentence in your first post.

1. This already exists, the system is broken due to changes post-release.. as usual.
2. Exp is earned by performing actions within that task; this already exists again, for example raise mining level by mining, higher level means you have less chance to fail, and better chances to get more yield as you've become more experienced in not accidentally ruining potential yields.
3. RPG, have you never played a tabletop RPG? MMORPG? Levels. Experience. That's what the last line refers to.
