Hai
The other day, I was unable to sleep much and was playing Argonath to kill time so that I'd sleep the entire night at once rather than sleeping twice. Me and Nylez were having random conversations(arguments really), and then suddenly, I do not know why, I thought of an idea,
I know it might seem dumb, but read the entire thing first.
How about introducing a way where a person can make his/her car bulletproof. NOW, don't press that 'reply' button and go "bUt BrO iF yOu lEt tHeSe nOoBs tO hAvE bUlLeT pr0oF cArZ tHeRe WiLl bE cHaOs". Calm down, I know that if every single vehicle in the game for example hotring or infernus is allowed to be made bullet proof, it IS going to be chaos.
And now I'm not suggesting that the entire vehicle must be made bulletproof. If you must have to visualize it, think of an Enforcer, bulletproof, but cannot be used against headshots or such.
So, if we are to make slow vehicles and vehicles WHICH might realistically made to be bulletproof, such as Patriot, Admiral, the trucks etc or whichever maybe suitable for the idea said above.
What do you think? I really think that this idea can be used creatively to roleplay during crane lockdowns or such,

i felt it odd

How is admiral, a 80s mercedez benz 190E, supposed to be bulletproof by default?
-
No.
-
No. We will not play with vehicle immunities more than what we have already.
-
Enforcer and Security Car is already Bulletproof. No other vehicles make sense to be bulletproof, especially civilian vehicles.
No.

that was a reference to SP's bullet proof Admiral you dodo. And cheers for googling the real life model for Admiral.
Worth a try anyways.

You do know you can realistically bulletproof any vehicle, right?

lmao, so you are telling me staff has to implement diaz's special silver bulletproof admiral, and for what reason?
This is not a speedrunning test server.

do you hit yourself on your head with a metal baton every single day?
I don't have to tell you anything, I was merely pointing out the reference which you failed to understand.
Worth a try anyways.
I was talking about me posting this idea and not implementing the idea itself.
I've told you about this in VU forums about you trying to make everybody else look like a fool. I really don't want to go there again.
This idea was literally scrapped by the admins without hesitation. So, instead of turning this suggestion into a warzone, just let go of the idea about you always trying to point out the wrong in me.
jeez what a turd

yes, but we can also realistically own more than 2 properties and more than 4 vehicles.
It's about the balance that I'm concerned about, same as that of the 2 properties(one biz and one property, panzer) and 4 vehicle rule.
Just imagine someone bullet-proofing a hotring racer and running around with it when being wanted. At least when it isn't bullet-proof, there is a possibility of the person driving it would crash and hopefully catch on fire(the car and not the person himself, panzer).

Well I think, bulletproofing a car for such a high price, makes sense.
Just like ray's patriot in GTA3.

Yes, typically you can make any vehicle bulletproof but consider that by doing so adds significant weight to the vehicle, which would make a Hotring drive as slow as an Idaho. Simply put we don't want to overcomplicate matters to try and compensate such an idea. We already have two bulletproof vehicles and that's enough.

In my honest opinion bulletproofing a car would turn it into an abuse real quick. Chases will get boring and the cops would easily give up
Either that or they'd resort to using heavy firearms on low bounty criminals or even go swat on them so yeah, not in favor
We could, however, set this bulletproofing process at a very high price and for a limited period of time so not everyone is able to afford it and that it doesnt ruin the balance of the server but it sounds like a hassle tbh so yeah, i'd pass
I'm not entirely against the idea of bulletproof cars though. We could have them in certain scenarios such as:
1. If we ever implement a government or have elections to run the office of mayor, we could have a bullet proof state vehicle assigned to whoever wins it because we would then have opposition and stuff and who knows, someone from the opposition might hire g00ns to try to take the mayor out
2. For the Chief of Police. Again, very high profile job with a lot of risks and threats on your life. The C.O.P. can be allowed to have 1 bulletproof car imo so they can travel anywhere without the constant risk of getting driveby-ed or even jumped on by some sporanos g00ns
