Will be live around 12AM CET tommorrow (19 of April)
New Commands:
/givepropertyrights [playerid] - gives player rights to property storage and furniture. must be in property to give!
/revokepropertyrights [playerid] - revokes player rights to property storage and furniture. must be in property to give!
/storage - shows vehicle or property inventory (if you have access)
/store [amount] [item name] - stores items in property or vehicle
/take [amount] [item name] - takes items from property or vehicle
/door [driver|passenger|backleft|backright] - opens specified door of unlocked vehicle. If left open the inventory becomes public!
/storeall - Dumps all items that uses weight from your inventory into your property. Only works in properties!
Enhancements and tweaks
- with a few exceptions, if your inventory weighs over 22.5kg(22500g) you will need to either drop or store items to hold any more.
- /boot will only work on unlocked cars that you can access.
- Weapons and appropriate ammo should be itemized. This means your weapons will be shown in /invent along with ammo.
- This also means ammunations will have to stock weapons and ammo like any other item via /manage.
- /buyweapon and /giveweapon will be removed due to changes above.
- You can give weapons and ammo with /give now.
Final Notes
- You can only store and take items from unlocked vehicles that you can access, or
- You must either be inside the vehicle or outside with a door or boot open to store/take items.
- You can only store and take items from properties that you own or have property rights to.
- If you have items you do not want, remember there is /dropitem (irrevesible).
- Each property and vehicle has a weight limit based on size.
- Some vehicles obviously can't store anything.
- Vehicles WILL lose all inventory upon destruction, therefore they should ONLY be used for TRANSPORT to properties when this update is live
- You don't lose anything (except weapons) upon death... YET. There will be a grace period when this update is live to give people a chance to store most of their inventory.
- There is no way for police to search and seize things from people and vehicles yet. I will implement at a later version once SAPD presents to me and implements fair and legal guidelines for such searches to take place. If SAPD needs inspiration, look into how the laws are in the US regarding search/seizure, such as the 4th amendment, or ask me for ideas as I live in the US.
- Another reason why this isn't implemented yet is to give folks time to store their illegal shit so there will be no excuse once SAPD starts confiscating them.
-
And I almost forgot - there is a very basic tutorial system that is offered to new players. Those who take it get a 5k bonus on their welcome money.

Nicely Done :app:

Awesome!

Sweet! :app:
-
Was speaking about this in some days ago. And now it's becomes the reality. Feel blessed. :app:
-
Update is live. Be sure to use /storeall in your biggest home to offset some weight!
-
Sweetie!
-
Really nice, now we only need you to script players :D

How come a house with small interior (worth 30.000$) can store up to 230.000 grams while a business with huge interior (worth 153.900$) can store only up 160.000 grams?
Also, ~7000 mashed potatoes - 1.4mill grams? ridiculous :uhm:

Good question

My bad. The testing version was on 9kg. The one live on server is now 22.5kg(22500g).
Anyway here's how you can sell to market with more than what you can carry: /storeall in a big property of yours or just all the weed. Then acquire a big truck, preferably with a trailer (you can store items in a trailer using /boot). Cargo trailers can hold 160kg. It may take some time to fill it up so you can give your friends property rights to your home so they can help you unload the property and into the truck. Load up the truck trailer and take it to the market. Then you can unload from the truck into your inventory to the max, /selltomarket, repeat until all weed from truck is sold.

Senior admins+ have a command to set the size of your property because it has to be done manually. The capacity depends on the size level of your property. Back in the day not all property admins knew of this and left it at the smallest size. Get senior admin+ or myself to increase the size for you. And yes mashed potatoes are way over weight. I will be lowering them very soon.

You have to choose an amount of drugs you want to sell, and the bigger amount of drugs you're selling is, the bigger the price per gram you get. So basically you can't get the maximum value from the market as you're limited to selling 22.5kg while market offers up to (i believe) 32kilos at once.
I would suggest itemizing a dufflebag or a briefcase or something simillar, in order to be able to carry more than the current limit (22.5kg), and make the limit with the bag/briefcase/whatever up to maybe 30 or 40 kilos. You could as well decrease the default amount player can carry down to 10kg or something. (system simillar to container system but with actual purpose this time)
Also, i would suggest cutting down the amount of cash one can carry around on their hands, unless they also have an itemized bag used for carying items/cash.

I was unaware of that with the drug system. Teddy knows a lot more about it than me. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will see about making a backpack item to extend the player weight limit.

Great! Also, think about reducing the default amount of weight player can carry down to 10kg or something!

It's been only 6 years and this is what we get on the end ? Sorry, i may be rude, but im not impressed at all.
Overly complicated, not balanced, cant even store skins, has problems interfering with other systems and yet has been released.
Simplicity, that's what Argonath is about. /load, /store, end.
Even RS4 had UI for this and what we get after 6 years is "/store <ammount> <item>'. Not fun to remember all item names, not user friendly.
I want to see /store > list of items pops up > select item > amount pops up > type in number and confirm.
Instead of focusing on creating car storage which literally noone will use, cuz SAMP vehicles are made the way they are, they explode, this aint GTA V, you should have focused on creating user friendly interface which will make life easier for everyone.
Congratulations, you separated guns from ammo, i hope you all made it in life after all those years!
Im not hitting on you Chase, im hitting on everyone that contribued, from their dumb ideas to this poor execution, you're just the guy that published it.
-
I'm not here to impress anybody. I'm not being paid to do this so I'm not concerned about that.
You should be able to store skins like any other item, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
As for the UI - I know it's not very user friendly. PAWN is a garbage language which requires a shit ton of code for a lot of seemingly simple things. If I had gone down the route of making everything dialog based then it would take a lot longer to write and a lot more prone to bugs.
-
Exactly why you should've done what i said, kept it simple. Instead of focusing on unnecessary things, you could have poured your energy and code into two things(the core, /load, /store) and perfected them out.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with how it was in RS4, except that you couldnt separate your(everyone that ever scripted) precious guns from ammo.
From what i know there's plugins/SDKs that allow you to write in pure c++ and not in pawn for years now. Noone was rushing you, it's been 6 years. 6, 16 or 66, noone really cares at this point, server cant exceed 3 players.
Im talking on a bigger scale here. What im trying to point out is that exactly this led to server's demise. Unnecessary, overly complicated scripts that were left unfinished and forced into public.
Thank you for spending your free time on something like this nevertheless.

Good Job Fellas!
-
Great Job. :app: :app:

I forgot to mention that /givepropertyrights will give a person almost all rights to your property. This includes stuff like withdrawing profit, accessing storage, stocking it, etc
Of course one of the few things they can't do is sell your property... but regardless, only give this to people you trust!
-
we need /takeall cmd too ..
-
Looks good! Thank you chase.
One question, how can i see weight limit storage in my house?

Not sure if there's specific CMD for it, but once something is stored, you can do /storage and see the limits. Same goes for vehicles too. @Hevar.
