This coming weekend will begin the first patch marking the transition into RS6. We have a few things we'd like to keep a surprise, but other than that we are willing to be open on plans for RS6.
If you have a question about RS6, planned features, balance changes, or other then feel free to ask them here. Please note, exact time-frames may be unavailable as we prioritize based on the status of things once a new system / update is ready. So please no "when is x coming".

No. There's no reason for us to discard data this time. The only reason RS4 data was not carried over is because RS4 stored data in an inefficient way - files. With RS5 it was changed to SQL database plugin. There wasn't a way to convert the data in the user files to SQL unfortunately.
We're keeping the same method of storage - a database. So no data is lost.
How different is RS6 from RS5.2 in terms of scripts?
We've done quite a lot of backend (non visible) changes leading up to RS6. We're making a bit easier to add new modules/systems, specifically jobs.
Visibly RS6.0.0 is the same as RS5. RS6.x will be continuously updated with features and activities.
I want to make this clear beforehand that the first version of RS6, visibly, is just a nice new feature, which as Teddy said, will mark the transition between versions. It's nothing too major on face value but there will be major updates in the RS6.x branch along the way.

There's always a way to migrate data files - if the game is able to parse them then a developer can migrate it to SQL. Loss of data shouldn't be a problem in this case.

No.

We won't need to migrate anything actually, we're building on top of the existing system. RS4 to RS5 was a full rewrite (including going from Flatfile to MySQL) with a lot of balance changes, it wasn't that it couldn't be migrated (though it would've taken a considerable amount of work) it was more the new system needed a clean slate.

As Chase stated, but to expand on that a bit, we've already been working on core changes that'll enable us to build more performance friendly, dynamic and extendable features.
An example of this is during tonight's update there will be a new "Market Core" which will enable us to build features on top of it such as Fishers Market for selling fish to a global market, and others like Agriculture Markets, and eventually migrate the drug market over to this new system. It has all the hardwork done into it including rising / falling of prices, sale calculations, and more. A few of these are already in place.

Not all at once, but we will be working to the same outcome that was intended and released, with some extras.

I'm so sick of people asspulling their sawn-offs while switching between deagles and molotovs while running around aimlessly and jumping around trying not to get shot just because they want to win it.

In my opinion punish people who does QS, i thought that wasn't allowed already? even if it wasn't there's no point of that being allowed since u don't allow Cbug.

That's exactly the point of the sawn off, for example in my opinion i think the deagle while you're standing still, you have a way more accurate shot than the sawn off, and also the deagle has 7 bullets and sawn off has 2 which u can miss completely, the sawn off was exactly made for that.
PS: This is a light roleplay server and there's no rule such as you can't jump around in fights, want people to stop jumping around? it's simple you just make the rule and that's it.

As pulling can be prevented by making bigger guns to be shows on the players body.
Smaller guns may /may not be shown on the players body depending on the kind of holster he has

The only thing that matters. I approve of this question.
I think we should make a rule for everything that's not realistic, cuz this is real life and not a game. We should extinct every core game physic by making up rules. Why would you be able to quick swap/ass pull between weapons? Is it maybe because thats how you reload the gun? Just maybe? Perhaps you should make an anim reload montage and make us press R to reload since swapping to reload is not realistic.
For more than half a decade now people are trying to create something that's not Argonath. Nowadays everytime i get onto forums i get struck by the stupidy all over the place. Sorry if someone gets offended, but that's how it is. We all know the place for all of you hardcore real life gameplay wannabes and RPers(AKA im really good at typing english on my keyboard with /me prefix).
Unfinished complex scripts were one part of why we're currently where we are with player base, the other part is exactly what i wrote above. You're trying to change core physics of the game with some stupid rules and removal of things. That's a big no no, that's not Argonath, in case you didnt figure out in those 5+ years.

Uses a slightly different algorithm now, but I can't much in submission of test results lol.
Oh and, combat shotgun is still in the game. Pretty sure I killed someone the other week with one :D

Back on the combat subject:
Allow me to clarify, as of right this moment we have no intention of reintroducing the ability to purchase combat shotgun.

Perhaps, but that was only me brainstorming a possibility and looking for feedback, never a confirmation on how things would be.

Well in RS5.1 you introduced tiers for a reason?
Blueberry - can be raided by police but is the fastest.
Doherty - Not as fast but can't be raided by the police.
Bayside - Super long but can't be raided and gives bonus? or something like that I should look into previous posts

-What? Police can raid laundries? I never heard about this. All what I know about laundries is what you mentioned above without the police part.

There is a heroin spot there, but haven't seen for 6 months...

We've slowly moved away from the "fixed point" for drugs, weed you can now grow in so many locations and meth can be produced anywhere you can fit an RV.
Heroin is no different, there are plans to move away from the "fixed point" interactions to obtain the drug. However, its difficulty to obtain versus risk /reward will still remain in between weed and meth. These plans are not yet finalized so cannot give much more details as I don't want to say something that might change and end up misleading people.
As for Glen Park, I'll try to think about what we could do. We're open to ideas.
