Title: RS6: Weapon Crafting Returns

Hello,

There is now weapon crafting returning to RS6.

In the older system, you'd craft Weapon Parts, and then a certain number of parts into the final weapon. We've expanded upon this a bit, requiring a bit of extra steps and needed gathering. All items are highlighted in orange to standout.

The first thing you'll craft is indeed Weapon Parts, used in various steps throughout the crafting phase. This costs 1 Iron, which once again you are now going to obtain ores and gems from the mining system. In addition, you need another new part called a Weapon Assembly. Next, you'll need to create a specific type of assembly, let's say we're crafting a Combat Shotgun (yes, we're adding it back via crafting!) you'd need to craft a Shotgun Assembly. A Shotgun Assembly requires 8 Weapon Parts, 1 Weapon Assembly, and 1 Weapon Oil. Weapon Oil is crafted with Fish Oil and Lithium, and Fish Oil can be obtained from Salmon, Carp, and Black Bass fish by /crafting them into Fish Oil.

Finally, to craft the Combat Shotgun we'll craft together 1 Shotgun Assembly and 3 Weapon Parts.

We will release this system on a tentative release to see how it goes. Future adjustments are expected. This will require downtime tonight to deploy as there is some database adjustments required.

It's great that we got a proper weapon crafting system being put into place. We've waited on this for a long time, glad to see the development team is able to provide long promised features.

This update will need to be delayed by a day due to a possible bad configuration, wouldn't want to push something potentially broken. Just need a little more time to make sure it's working right.

We have made further adjustments in the form of simplifying the recipes without reducing the extra gathering needs. In most cases, the fish oil components have been removed.

This patch should now be functionally live using the same /craft command. You will require a crafting table.

Please let us know of any needed balancing changes.

Is maximum level in /skills increased?
Since armour cases still require 40 level, while as far I know, 20 is max  :lol:
