Title: Cant View Imported .avi Files :S
Post by: Paroxysm on February 13, 2008, 03:53:50 pm
Hey..

Ive got a FugiFilmF480 and I've recently taken videos and Imported them into my Computer which worked fine. Then today, I recorded a video clip (54Minutes) and I tried to Import it, which worked. I tried to watch it in WMP and I came up with a Blank Screen, only the Audio worked.

I have

-Updated my DivX
-Updated my AVI Codec
-Tried Quicktime, VCL Player, DivX Player and still didnt work

Im just confused how it worked before and now Its not working?

 :help:

What format was it imported in? This is most likely a codec problem.

Download K-lite codec pack. You'll never have codec problems again.

Try to compress the file to wmv or mpeg format.

Yeah, you'll just have generic system stability problems instead, now with codec conflicts included!

Bullshit. K-lite codec pack is the best codec pack.
OFC it will conflict if you already instaled some bad codecs but i think it overwrites so no problem.

I'm very happy with it. It was recommended by a Hacker friend of mine.

So instead of installing a few base codecs ffdshow to watch any sanely compressed video, you'll instead install a whole pack of useless, deprecated codecs that you won't need and that will clutter your system. GG!

pmp if k-lite worked for u doesnt make em all mighty codeks, every sys is different.

now on topic:

try ACE Mega pack codec pack, not for the codecs them sevles, inastall it it has auto feature that cleans any codecs u might have, and instales a pack after scan

What i think its a prob, someone(or sys) messed up codec, u instaled another codec now theres codec conflict, run setup of ace mega pack, its cleaner will wipe all codes first than instal codect pack

and yes pmp it includes k-lite too.
