The next Need For Speed game is Need for Speed Heat, which will again blend the series’
familiar themes of street racing and police work. It launches Nov. 8 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.

The two-minute trailer, which you can watch at the top of this post, is filled with Need For Speed staples: high-performance and customizable cars,
racing through fictitious but detailed urban settings, and Johnny Law getting in the way of everyone’s good time.

Heat, the 16th entry in the mainline Need for Speed series, takes place in the fictional town of Palm City.
Players will race on beachfront straightaways and technical downtown courses as well as, of course, a huge freeway for the inevitable getaway.

Players will race in two series in Heat. There is a sanctioned daytime competition called the Speedhunters Showdown,
where you earn money to buy and customize a fleet of cars. At night, you are working for a kind of currency called Rep in an underground racing series,
where corrupt cops can bust you and, through the magic of civil asset forfeiture, take your money.

Ghost Games, which was behind 2017’s Need for Speed Payback, the 2015 reboot Need for Speed, and 2013’s Need for Speed Rivals,
will again be developing the game. In the announcement, creative director Riley Cooper acknowledged
fans’ disappointment in the fleet variety and customization options of the last game, and promised that Heat is “tuning up on every aspect.”

Need For Speed Heat was just announced as the newest entry in the long-running series.
A stylish trailer showed off elements we’ve come to expect from these games, like police chases and car customization.
It also showed off a Florida setting and some neon aesthetics. Good news for folks who both need speed and feel nostalgic for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

The fresh and fast racing game will release on November 5 on Origin Access Premier/Play First Trial and November 8 for the rest of the world.
Players will race through Palm City and compete in a street race series called the Speedhunters Showdown
in an attempt to earn money and build a reputation as, and these are my words, One Fast Hombre.

The last Need for Speed was 2017’s Need for Speed Payback, which drew criticism for its microtransactions
. In a press release, Riley Cooper, Creative Director at Ghost Games stated that “fans have been clear that they want more cars,
more customization, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect.”
Hopefully that will mean earning cool parts through races. Also, I hope it means I can put sick spoilers of all my cars.

Eh I don't really recommend that. Unless you are an old NFS fan. Try Forza Horizon 4 and The Crew 2 first, I doubt that this game is any better.

Take it from a guy who played since NFS Underground ;)

So I bought and finished the main campaign in three days. It's pretty good, reminds me a lot of MW. One thing I really didn't like was the cops. They're strong as hell and hard to beat if you have a lower-tier vehicle.

Combined the best parts of the older games and got rid of that shitty card system from NFS Payback... really liked the concept of Day/Night racing too!
