Title: Lenovo Miix 320 - can't get GTA VC's orientation right
Post by: Huntsman on September 21, 2019, 05:40:47 pm
Hey there,

I recently bought a Lenovo Miix 320 2 in 1 tablet PC. Basically, you use it as a laptop, or, when and if you desire, you remove the screen from the keyboard, making it a touch based tablet. It works surprisingly well and snappy considering that it isn't really packing much power. Certainly, the first thing I try on it is to run GTA Vice City.

It works with amazing FPS, but there's a catch: it won't run in landscape orientation. Basically, even though the keyboard is connected and therefore Windows automatically locks the tablet into landscape orientation, the game launches sideways and only takes half the screen. However, it runs. If I try to use the Windows hotkeys to change screen orientation, the game freezes. Once I change it back to what it was, the game runs again. But sideways.

Any ideas folks?
It runs Windows 10

did you change the resolution?
I'm not quite getting what you are talking about but if it is only black in the sides of the screen then changing resolution to maximum certainly fixes your issue.

Perhaps check some of the manual orientation settings, try compatibility mode to see if it helps and try running in 640x480 to start it and then try the hotkey.

Let us know if it helps! :)

No.

This is exactly like the issue I am having (the picture is not mine)

Changing the resolution does what its intended. Sideways and only for half of the screen.
