It has come to my attention that we have beautifully mapped prisons and jails which do not see any use, and we also have no correctional officers active enough. I am currently rounding up people to proceed with a prisoner group, so I want to check if there are people interested from both sides - COs and Inmates. Leave your feedback here or PM me for further info.

Yes, i would like to see that! :)

Yes, there's a few things I could explain but, one of them, I think it'd help some of the players understand that they don't need to reach firearms to have any kind of interaction/roleplay scene.
Would give more ideas to people, and would in general just be pretty awesome. Been looking forward to that for a while now.
Please have inmate files as well with their information and etc.

I’d love to see that, supported.

Would love to see it and was thinking this when i got locked up in the LS county jail map, that could definitely be used for low level crimes(evading, graffiti etc) with jail time allowed between like 1 and 10 minutes, Alcatraz could be for our (attempted)murderers, mass murderers, kidnappers etc with jail times between 10mins and 30 mins.
To keep roleplay active there could be reward incentives for the DoC officers for instance we could make it if the DoC's not paused, in the jail and have written a /me cmd when an inmate is doing their time, on completion of their time the DoC could get a reward of $1k or smth from the state for "prison duties"
Could even make a reward so that criminals will want to do the jail RP even more by removing the notoriety cost to a /gu'd suspect

Yes yes yes. This idea was in my mind since the county jail started. Cool way to promote Prison Gang RPs and spend our time. I'm with you on this one.

Or we can just ask them to open the gates for us OOC and act like we were jailed IC.

If a prison gang starts up, due to the uniqueness of the idea we'll provide a group hq within the jail so people can spawn inside to start roleplaying there.

Seems fun so far. Support from me also.

Not losing notoriety would be a great way for people to ask to be transported and serve over there... Thing is ... with 20 people online at max... You cant expect people just idling in the jail ... for a single captured suspect to pass by for 10 minutes ... every now and then...
We should create a proper system or something idk.
About the group idea... I'm sure you'll find people willing to be the guards when you're active...

Interesting idea, would like to see it happen

WHITE PRIde bpisss

Let's be real, no cops will idle in jail and hope they're gonna RP with some new player that didn't use a firearm against the cops.
But do I want to RP as an inmate? Hell yeah let's go

Honestly, in my opinion I don't think it would work very well. First if the goal is to roleplay like real prisons, there will always be someone who will have a knife or even a weapon. There may be corrupt cops who will offer guns for cash and this will obviously improve roleplay but those without guns will feel wronged. And you think this won't be an excuse for SOME to use this environment to do DM? Many will seek feuds between each others inside the prisons, even mobsters will do RP as gangsters and this will be controversial because in the cities of San Andreas today we notice that mobsters go out to kill a gangster or even a gangster confront a mobster as if nothing was. Mafia will always be much stronger than gangs, due to their money gap but this is something that until today no one realized when a Corleone could hunt a Balla or other examples. What I mean is that mobsters are always the smart ones who profit inside the prisons, who use the mind instead of the force and the gangs are fighting to "conquer territory" between each other but since this is not fun, everyone will want to fight like crazy people, confronting others and even if there is someone you don't like inside, there will be metagaming just because of _Tag.
I'll vote YES but there's my opinion and I respect yours.

Idea scrapped due to lack of interest and support from administration.

HA?

Agreed.
Unsupported.

You shouldn't steal ideas from other servers, Argonath is a world of it's own.

The lack of support greasy is talking about is him getting punished. As we already offered more support then to regular groups in general(few posts up). We'll go ahead and lock this. Have a nice day everyone!

Reconsidering this. With the current playerbase I believe that organizing a group or two in a specific confined space can help increase interaction and actual IG activity.
Anyone from PD/Law Enforcement Agencies who might be interested in doing a Warden's job please let me know.
I'm open to suggestions and criticism. What would motivate you to tag along and what are your potential concerns?

This is a very good idea. Supported
