Hello dear IVMP'ers,

In the near future it won't be IVMP'ers anymore, but CitizenIV'ers. There has been a lot of inactivity and for that reason we are changing our server to CitizenIV.

Lion from CitizenIV has agreed to help us develop a server. He has been quite busy already on the business section. Development has been going steady and Lion is doing a good job. Once the 1.0 gamemode is out we'll pour in new ideas the community gives us. The new server will not be an exact copy of the current server. Simplicity and back to basics will play a major part in the new version. When the server on CitizenIV is done we will be closing down the IVMP server.

Also I wish to explicitly thank Armelin for his service and for all that he has done for IVMP. He is a very dedicated developer and always helped when I asked him a question about developing or IVMP. This choice to change client wasn't easy to make (for me at least). I wanted to make this work on IVMP but I didn't have enough dedication and ambition to make it work.

Just a joke, because since who ever knows when, when you check /admin and there is no admins, it says "No admins available right now, but Sauron's eye is always watching!"

maybe it would attract the old ivmp players who already gave up on it
but i don't think that its gonna bring new players and makes the server alive again (like T3)
What actually ivmp needs is an "advertisement team" composed of +5 players who can make amazing videos and play on high graphics  (like kerrar , joey , hernandez)  and the team should post ATLEAST 1 youtube video per week to advertise the server.

Advertising the server is not really limited to this team. Anyone can advertise the community and the server in the way he pleases.
However, I have talked with few people about making an actual group and creating videos or maybe something like episodes in argonath IV. I will talk with them again and talk with HQ if we can have something like this. But as I said everyone is free to advertise the server the way he pleases.

Take in consideration that GTA IV is already 11 years old and never had as much multiplayer attention as SA:MP or VC:MP did. I hope there are still enough players out there willing to test it out :D, I'm sure there are!

It isn't all about the client advantage or the map/mods itself, the real deal is we have an
active development team for Argonath IV after a long, long time, thankfully to Lιση and James Conway.

Look, the immigration to CitizenMP:IV won't stop us from being able to advertise our server, I also doubt that our goal is to advertise the clients, but most likely
advertising our community and the server itself, which is something that won't change with this immigration, instead it's going to expand. ;)

OFC we dont need any permission from anyone to record and upload on youtube  :rofl:
what i mean is Along with the new client /scripts/mods we need a FIXED team, and they Must be active on uploading videos (their job is to make great videos) regularly.

Pay them. Nobody does it for free and some of us have done it for a long time already.

Look, we see the love you have towards the server and its community and to be frank we feel the same but honestly be realistic, one video per week of a server that is empty on daily basis if not on collapse soon? I don't know what your expectation and view are on us.

There is just so much we can do. An empty server with no activity is not going to do us any favor, not to mention most of us have grown up so our time becomes more scarse as time passes.

Is it still on process or get denied some say it’s get cancel some still have hope it will come in future

The project is canceled, we will stick to IVMP for now, hopefully things go well and we get updates for IVMP soon!

Ps; we are having numerous of newplayers joining since last week which is something great!

Badboydhia is right in this instance. Let's not create false hope.

James Conway's Lua overhaul was canceled, as was CitizenIV. Very few if any new players are actually joining and Armelin is developing Argonath RageMP.

I don't want to destroy hope, but be realistic about the situation at this stage.

I did not give any promise about anything, I am in no position to do so. That is why I said "hopefully" which I still have hope and faith that something good for the server will happen that's my personal opinion.
