GTA:Connected is a custom scriptable multiplayer modification for multiple Grand Theft Auto games.

GTA:Connected Requirements

GTA IV 1.0.6.0 and above patches are supported. (1.0.7.0, 1.0.8.0 are the last patches that work without Rockstar Games Launcher, anything past 1.20 is supported as well)
EFLC is also supported, however as of now, the majority of the playerbase is on GTA:IV.
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition is also supported. (Latest is 1.2.0.32)

Download & Installation

Official source for download the client is here -> GTA:Connected Downloads (https://gtaconnected.com/downloads/).

There are three options to run the launcher whenever you want to play:

Quote
Option 1 - Desktop Icon
Look for a file named Grand Theft Auto Connected 1.4.2.exe on your desktop and open it. The latest version may be higher than 1.4.2.
The .exe part may not be shown in the filename, depending on your file explorer settings.

Option 2 - Start Menu
Open the start menu, then type Grand Theft Auto Connected and open it.

Option 3 - Containing Directory
Open file explorer and type in directory %LOCALAPPDATA%\Jack's Mini Network\Grand Theft Auto Connected, and then open Launcher.exe.

F.A.Q. and Troubleshooting

1) Is downgrading required to play on GTA:Connected ?

No, patches above 1.0.6.0 are supported, EFLC and Complete Edition (1.20, 1.2x) are also supported.
If you still wish to downgrade to 1.0.7.0 or 1.0.8.0 follow the guide posted on GTA:C wiki https://wiki.gtaconnected.com/DowngradingIV

2) How do i configure the commandline.txt file ?

There is a very well explained guide on how to set up your commandline.txt for your PC configuration, please have a read at this thread on GTAForums. (https://gtaforums.com/topic/397064-frequently-asked-questions/?tab=comments#comment-1058959070)

3) After logging into the server my game starts to lose textures and/or i have major flickering and stuttering

Patches 1.0.8.0 and above shouldn't give you this issue as Rockstar fixed the memory detection issue.

You can first try to set a -memrestrict line into commandline.txt, this is how you should use it:

Please do not use any other commandlines as they may override the effects of this one. Start at the lowest number based on your texture setting (ie. try them one at a time) You can try to increase the number until you notice stuttering again.

-memrestrict 188743680 LOW TEXTURES (256M Video Cards)
-memrestrict 209715200
-memrestrict 230686720
-memrestrict 262144000 MED TEXTURES (512M Video Cards)
-memrestrict 293601280
-memrestrict 314572800
-memrestrict 629145600 HIGH TEXTURES (1Gig+ Video Cards)
-memrestrict 650117120
-memrestrict 681574400

If you still notice stuttering with the lowest number, there may be a separate issue with your system configuration.

Please note that GTA:IV (even EFLC) has its own stuttering and massive fps drop in some areas due to the poor port that Rockstar made on PC. There is no fix for that, even the best configurations struggle with this game.

4) My issue isn't on the list or i need help with something else
