Hello, old players and new. This topic is to inform you that Argonath is now an official server for SAMP.

So, for our old players:
This will no doubt mean a huge increase of players. Which means sometimes there will be less admins online. We need you, the regulars, help by just being more helpful towards the new players. If they DM you, explain to them the rules. If they swear, tell them swearing is not allowed.
Just try and be more helpful towards new people than usual.
To new people:
Welcome! The rules are on our main page; www.argonathrpg.eu. Our trained admin team are always willing to help you with any problem you may have. When in game, simply type /admins, and send one of them a PM.
If you have a troublemaker or someone who is annoying you, type /report <id> [reason].
Hope I cleared up the massive increase of players, and maybe helped new people.

Tis is a big day for our little (soon not so little ) community, so i plead on all people to help and welcome new players,to make argonath the best server on list!

well i always help the new people... and even i did it today.. i helped 2 guys ( new players ) in samp today.. their names were : wikid and other one was sarvo.. somthing !
I explained them that how we can become cops by typing duty in locker room and the /l /p /s commands :rules:

Nice! There will be a lot more players i think. But also a lot more dm'ers and hackers maybe. But if admins just do their work like they always do, everything is ok. :D

wow 83 people online at dinnertime it works ..we are the only pure rpg server on the list so its bound to attrackt lots of rp ers

New record - 98 players online. Awesome guys, the amount of players increased up to 50 %.

No we dont...then it will go even more out of control. I had to bother Trix for 2 or 3 times because there just was one guy who suspected others for following reasons: looking at me, having a gun, having a weapon, having a knife. i think the guy was jossijon or something.

Like in Real life you cant always expect everything to go as you want ...even with 5 players on it could be some time before an admin reacts ....But he did ..
People have to remember that its IMPOSSIBLE to prevent everything but if you ask an admin BY /report id reson he will respond ..also sometimes he is already checking it .. because we need PROOf

Try to look at it this way more players mean more Rp more fun events more FUN in general ..but it will aslo bring in some bad elements ..This doesnt mean we have to keep the good away

this is really-really sad... its not joy to play in Argonath RPG no more... i wish argonath is un-official server again.... now theres really much DMers, haxors, players who even doesnt speak english, non-RPers, people who doesnt fill-up car - so oall cars from street you find are 0-fuled, and cop abusers, carkillers...

Nobody is born learned. Even you were a Non- RPer when you started playing. Maybe you should have a little more respective look on the newbies. They are people aswell, everybody was a newby. Our job as a regular players is to teach them how to RP, or atleast try to. And I dont see many people trying ...

being cop must be the best paid job now :rofl: well from one view having so many players is good... people will start moving to other cities which would mean no more LS only and people who own businesses in sf or lv cud finally earn some money :o

Hey at all,
I wanted to say something that Argonath is an official server now. Indeed, i really found it great when I heard it. But then I made my first experiences with guys who are just carjacking, carkilling, ramming or other rulebreaking. In 15 minutes i got seven times carjacked.
This is nearly one carjacking every second minute. And mostly they don´t just carjack me, they also wants to carkill me. So, all in all, I got seven times carjacked, two times carkilled and uncountable times rammed in 15 (!) minutes. And this isn´t funny anymore. I really liked Argonath, because Argonath was the only server with only a few rulebreaker and where RP made really fun. But now, in my opinion, Argonath is losing his uniqueness. Argonath always distinguished from other servers, but now I can´t recognize any differences between Argonath and other servers. I´m not the best RPer, but at least I always followed the rules, also when i started playing here. I played today and it was so chaotic and it didn´t make any fun to me anymore. I can´t imagine playing on Argonath if the situation will be always like this.

You might be right. I saw some guys who really wanted to RP and working and so on and who got help from others. And this is very good for Argonath. But actually about 75% of our new players are constant rulebreaker who have fun by annoying others. I saw it with my own eyes. So, in my opinion, Argonath is winning 25%, but losing 75%. I think argonath is losing is good quality of one of the best RP servers. This is what I mean with Argonath is losing his uniqueness...
I really consider to stop playing at Argonath server, although I have a car, a house and a business and even some good friends...
So, I just wanted to show you my dissatisfaction with the temporary situaton, and I don´t think the admins can change anything with giving warnings or something...
I don´t know if I´m the only one who feels like this but i just wanted to say it.

Very strange to talk about losing or winning for one day...
Yes we were not ready to such amount of players, and yes there are a lot of new people, who even do not know how to get in a car as passenger... With this today was an admins meeting on Argonath Chat...
Also we will force the recruitment of new moderators that will help to teach the new players and to protect server from cheaters...
Ps: many of our admins and those "funny veterans" came at the period Argonath was on 10-16 place in list and had the same amount before... So we know already what we need to do...

Ah yes the old days.....90+ people everyday lol, This time round though we have much more admins with more experience so Im positive we will handle this.

ONCE argonath was a good server with great RP and it was very realistic.
But now :( its all f*cked up...
Argonath isnt unique anymore. its just like the other servers, nothin but a dm server.
So please remove it from official. That would be the best for all !

ok, turning argo in offical hasnt brought anything good ... ( except 90+ players ) ....
many ( too many rulebrakers ), too much spam with ''WARNED'', ''BANNED'', ''KICKED'', and also '' XXX has joined'' ....
vehicles are everywhere on the road, sum caaars r invisible ... and if u get outa car for 3 seconds, ur car has been taked .. :/
And most of all - too many players ruins RP ... !!!

i have not been on the server since, but tbh i predicted this. i personally dont want to play for a while because of the amount of players, i liked it when there was ONLY good players and how everyone knew everyone on the server, this is ruined from the public server

Everything will return to normal soon enough.
You can't expect everyone to be class role players as soon as they join.

yes but, more new people will come, think about it, you dont get the EXACT same people everyday, theres always someone new, and that new rate has increased toooo much,

VMNT is right, everyone whining is wrong.
All the new players has brought nothing but good to me. Yes there's been allot of banning and kicking, warning and rulebreaking. But it's only during the start.
People are still able to RP good, I know I am, it's all about adjusting.
Eventually we will get more good RP'ers and the amount of DMers & rulebreakers will decrease, you have to give it time.

I think they are wrong too. Cause at least now, the server never has less then 40 players and before, I got to be in the server with only 8 people.

Well right now i broked my other keyboard. Just becouse that i got rammed, dmed, jacked and abused.
I have drugdealer clothes (white hoodie with rockstar print). And cops just run up on me and suspects me for "dealing drugs".
Very funny everybody ! Lets clap our hands ! Well and i cant drive my car like 10 metres before another car (rammer) drives into me in 200 mph. Very funny everybody ! Lets clap our hands ! And i also see the cops pointing gun at everyone and just shoots becouse its "fun". Very funny everybody ! Lets clap our hands ! Well i feel like a maniac right now, i just logged of Argonath server after like 10 abuses and 20 rammings... SÃ¥ i could easily kill my moms or something. So i say:
ARGONATH IS BEING DESTROYED !!! REMOVE IT FROM OFFICIAL LIST NOW !

Argonath had this unique freedom. You could walk the street without gettin carkilled or dmed.
You could drive your niceass modded car without bein jacked. You could Roleplay with others, but soon i will forget what Roleplay really means, couse Argonath was the only server with nice RP on it. But now :( its destroyed. And i think many players quit just becouse of this.

I think what people are failing to realise is that on the Old Scripts, people came and learnt how to RP. Many of those members still remain as regulars now.
And, as I said to somebody who saw the Official, but never before 0.2.2:
Welcome back to the Old Scripts Atmosphere. :)

Well, here is what happens to me. When someone reports a guy, I start sending him PMs and spectating him. I tell him "Hey, this is a RP server" , "Here we pretend we are in real life to have fun" , "Please do not kill people without a reason, or ramm them or carjack them, its ruining the fun" . And they I get a kind answer like "F**k you! " and the guy comes to me and kills me or rams me. I will gladly learn somebody to RP, but how to do that, since they are not listening.
There are guys who are listening though and they now know what is RP and how can they do it. They can even be called 'regulars'. I remember my first days on Argo. I was a cop and I was shooting everybody around me, then Carhartt and Aragorn came to me (I had no idea that Aragorn is a 1337 admin, didn't checked the admins) and I told them 'Hey guys, lets go kill somebody' or something like that. They Carhartt stoped the car and explained me all the basics of the RP and Cop RP. Thats why I own him everything now, all my RP exp. I got it thanks to him. Thank you Carty <3. So I am saying, that when we learn people how to do it, if they listen, they will become exp. and good RPers ;)

There wont be the same players all the time, there is like 20 000 samp players or somethin.
And other players will come in to argonath and destroy it. I mean, everyone looks in Official.
So, this will never be good. It was better before, couse then it was like 4 new players every week.
And those guys learned how to RP. In this way the community is growing in a good way, not in Ramming, Deathmatching, Blowing gasstation, Abuse and Carjacking way. So common, understand that Argonath wont be good again. New players will come in all the time. So please for everyones best.
REMOVE IT FROM OFFICIAL !

Did you ever play in the Old Scripts? The atmosphere was somewhat similar to that which it is now. Eventually out of these new people a few might become regulars, and that is how regulars join in the first place, as newbies who may deathmatch and etc.
My first day involved a chiliad marathon and a Hydra. And I wasn't in the marathon. :D

I loved the old scripts, they gave u the ability to be free. Anyway nvm what i just said :D
On my first day on argo (1st june) I thought the aim of the game was to arrest civilians, so i went up to someone and did /suspect, killed him, then got kicked :P. Then i came to check the website and i found out what to do ;)

If server will be passworded - it will not stop new people or rulebreakers... It will just decrease amount of players...
Check the forums of passworded servers - the same stuff... "HAcker! Dmer!" etc....

Yea but now that it's official, people will register on the site read the rules, then go into the server.
It can be like a test,
Fill out some questions then u get pm'd the password.
It will stop the hackers and dmers cause they wont be bothered to register

Argonath was never meant to be a strict RPG server with IC/OOC rules but a place where people can learn and enjoy free RP of any style.
It is true that the atmosphere is more free, but on the other hand I am pretty sure that there are a lot of places on the map where you can still play without anyone bothering you. In spectating it is funny to see how a lot of new guys take a car to Grove street only to discover it is empty...

People should stop complaining about rulebreakers in LS and maybe use other areas of SA to RP. Argonath ain't LS roleplay, it's SA roleplay.

I never have any problems when ever I am on.
Never.
Except for one time, I got out of my car to talk to someone, I turned around again and it was gone.
I PMd the guy and nicely asked for my car back and I got it back.
To be honest, I think lots of people are making these problems for themselves.
Or you are just not used to change.

The new Scripts were a change, I no longer had to carry a gun to defend myself at all times. Now that we do, I'm really getting some of the 0.2.1 nostalgia back. :D

But, if you think that LS is just cramble with DMer and non-RPers then you can either try and teach and help them or move to SF or LV.
Also, things will change and get better and everyone and thing will calm down... just like when the new scripts came. Alot said they was mad and wanted old back, look now.

This has brought both good and bad to the server
Yes we have gained some more good rpers..
However with the crashes that take place there is no garantee you can get back on (Try last few hours most the time I tried failed, eventually got lucky, although did not have it permanantly trying.
However the sheer number of idiot freecops is really getting to me, many just dont want to listen to advice on how to rp and just carry on shooitng, even had them aim guns at me (and some have shot too!)
I know we dont want to stop guys eing cops but we rally need oemthign to stop the ones that refuse to listen to reason.
And its not fair on admins to keep on having to deal with this as they are on this server to rp too.
I dont know the full solution but even I am starting to get really annoyed (understatement) with the sheer volume of non-rp players who dont want to rp..

Well reply "Yeah" if you want to remove argonath from official.
Couse its a good idea to remove it now. Couse ppls that REALLY WANTS to RP remembers the servername.
And those ppls will find it (if they dont have it in favorites).
And those who dont wanna RP wont come in. So it all means that we got some good rpers of this !
So remove it. And non RPers wont come in (couse they dont care bout anything on Argonath).
And those who liked to RP will continue to play !
Sound like a REALLY GOOD idea to me !

Comparing the official server from last sunday when we first became official to this current week believe it or not I think it has improved, we are getting very good and I also agree very bad new players, but there has been a small improvement from last weekend, my own opinion will be to carry on trying with the Official server for at least a month or more and if it seriously goes to pot (which I don't believe it will) then consider not being Official.
Also the thing I don't understand is some people complain about new peoples actions in main chat and in some cases flame in game but never use report...

PPl, we give it a try, let's try it some more, it still will be 'our' great server!
