Title: Rage Against The Machine! Stand For? Corrpt Cadets

The famous band known as Rage Against The Machine basicaly protest in their song about corrupt Police. As to everone who hates the abusing cadets who '/su' for you for no reason is or a rubbish reason not good enough for suspecting is getting to frustrating, because they just want to make money or who has a thrill in typing the letters '/', 's' and 'u' then and 'id' (closest one to them).

But to show if you have been annoyed by an abusing cadets post in this form to say what you think. Include things like how many times youve been abused and explain the last time you remember clearly of being abused by a cadet.

We MUST Rage Against these Machines and stop them from ruining other people having fun and to stop this from not only happening in SA:MP but all other servers Arongnath owns.

Yes BoyShott, I have also been attacked by these "machines" and I also happen to be a HUGE fan of the band Rage Against the Machine, and I couldnt agree more! We must rage against the machine!!!!!!

  ok just to clarify, as you misunderstand, and may confuse others:

Corrupt police: Roleplay cops that are  roplaying corrupt cops (eg take bribes etc).

Cop abusers: Cops that abuse their power to get money.


  We realise there is a problem with cop abuse and new players who don't know how to roleplay, and we are trying to solve the problem. Threads like this merely highlight the issues further, issues we already know exist; so rather than complaining and moaning, why not think up some realistic ideas of how this issue can be fixed.

if you wnat ideas the best one ive heard is have passports to be a cop as that would stop alot of the ne members going straight into police unifrom, another ive heard is you have to apply to become a police like arpd but not of such importance etc

 Well I was punching someone in front of LSPD, and I hit a cop once and get suspected for try to kill cops... wtf is that. Then AV Dave aims on me and says surrender?

 This isn't a RL RP server.. it never attempts to be one, so I asume that players can be nicer or more RP and stop write /suspect ID try to kill cops

If I saw someone fighting on the street I would suspect you too, even before you hit me. Although I would not suspect you for "kill cop" but maybe he has a limited English vocabulary ?

Why not teach them to be better cop rather then yelling "OMG ABUSING COP!!!11!1!1one"

If you will take some time and teach those freecop/cadet it will be much better then yelling random thiings and annoying half of the server with that kind of things.
Im not saying Im doing that, but Im trying to be better and helping people that are in need.

Hell, you punch a cop it is assualt, in RL you do that and you'd be arrested and taken to court. Also i have noticed that EVERY time you get suspected for anything you shout "Abuse Abuse!!" and demand to be unsused, that is not RP, learn to deal with being SUed. And ye CBF, I didn't shoot cos i know what i'm doing, I folowed all the regulations of arresting a suspect and He shouted "abuse abuse!" Hell, if ur gonna take Admins unsusing you for granted when yournot even abused half the time, you're gonna end up never getting unsused even if ur abused or not. And Hell, thats why you never went ANYWHERE in ARPD.

yo BoyShott, iDevil and thrustking56. n e way its not our responsibility to make sure that the cops know what there doing. im a full time criminal every time i go on i get SUed most the time for good reason. its not the reasons its that they shoot first and ask questions later (the american way)

I myself have also read about the passports and being trained before being a cop before i sent this topic. and i think that should be enforce, the sooner the better. Then if you suspect someone or get suspected by an officers with a lience to be a cop or something like that, there is a very unlikly chance of abuse being involved.

For people who dont or cant speak fluent english, we cud possibly add a shortcut to the reason
e.g.
reason for being suspected is KO = Killing Officer
KC = Killing Civlians
DD = Drug Dealing
So on etc

forcing people to also read the website to know what they been suspected for. therefore cadets cant suspect someone for something that isnt a suspectable crime.


But for now the better option is to have a passport, and to get a passport be asked questions, and also something to prove youve passed your officer cadet training.  :D

People who know me from before know that I'm very opinionated on hot-topics around the state of Argonath, and I've spotted that this has apparently become one lately, so since it has turned to an apparent "form" about it, outside of the thread I saw prior about a protest or whatnot, it's time I put my two cents into this ordeal.

Since returning, I've been abused by "free-cops" twice. They suspected me for crimes I did not commit, but their dreams of taking me out thereafter never came to fruition, as the first only took a few shots into my vehicle, and never got a good shot on me, and the second never got close enough to me to even take the shots. Soon after the abusive /su occured, my status was returned to normal by online admins, when I simply asked them to fix the issue, and they did.

We have had problems before with abusive police, which was mostly silenced (or attempted to) by the change of the police skin to all (or rather mostly) application only skins. However, the free cop idea is extremely glitched in the concept of how many abuse commands to make a cheap buck, and it's disgusting to see the immaturity of people who do such things.

However, after reading the protest thread, and hearing of how people in it or whatnot have punched, or otherwise assaulted these essential Rent-a-Cops, even though the opinion on such an attack was that it was only "minor" at the time, all you're doing is rioting people to death-match and perform illegal acts against these free-lance officers, and are thus not making the situation any better at it's current rate.

In my honest opinion, I believe what should have been done in the first place, was that you filed a formal complaint to the Argonath administration's head-team about the situation, included a few screen shots of the abuse, or of people being abused by these officers, and let the admins and moderators handle things accordingly. However, you took a more direct and hands-on approach, which resulted in an issue becoming a conflict.

I just ask as an Argonath businessman, civilian, and general interest-taker, that you refrain from taking things into your own hands in the future, and instead file formal complains, and let the administration take things into consideration, before anything happens or someone gets angry at the way these free-cops are being treated, and takes things way overboard (then people end up banned, and before you know it, a minor infliction becomes a server-wide catastrophe).

Alright, now that this statement is out of the way, you may return to your usual programming.  ;)

THEY ARE NOT CADETS THEY ARE FREE COPS!!11111!!!1111!1!1 one one one two. Geti it right FFS. If they were cadets, which would mean they were in SAPD, they would be a discrace to SAPD...

Then get the devs to take the "cadet" part of the "cadet/freecop" menu item off, get it right FFS!

Anyway, yeah I got abused a few times but the worst was when 2 cops were running in Red County and so I offered them a lift in local chat, one said "okay" and the other suspected me for "car hit" or something along those lines and then auto-shotgun-ed me through the windscreen before I could do anything about it. When I finally got back to that area because I was going to meet someone in Red County I saw that cop standing on someone else's car, stamping on it and then suspecting them for "atak cop"...I'm just glad my reports got him kicked...extremely annoying.
