Title: Photoshop - pain in my ass...
Post by: Icarus on April 14, 2008, 03:33:44 pm
OK... so photoshops decided im not allowed to type anymore... wont let me make proper size text... need to resize it manually....

Now oh waiit.... after making the Chinatown triad logo.... it wont diisplay any fonts in any size... just a bunch of squiggles that screw around w/ the layer.... anyone else had this happen to know how to fix iit?

CS3 btw... and its been buggy since i got it =/  First my brushes would load... now they change order every time my pc restarts... now some of them dont load and some do... its pretty annoying....  Text hasnt worked properly since a re-install... my set up has changed twice w/o me touching anything... had everything perfect where i wanted it to make my life easier.... and now its eating itself away xD

Uh... fixed the text thing... by doing nothing....

Any ideas how i can change the way my brushes show back... was handy when it was 4 brushes in each row... now its one and shows you what a stroke lookks like... considering my brushes arent meant for strokes... I would prefer the other mode of display... any idea how to get it back?

And I am not shelling out for another version of photoshop

I tried CS3 for a bit, Now i've got CS2, I didn't really see any difference. It don't matter anyway since I first had PS 7.0 and still made good stuff with it. :)

If you can adapt to it like I did it doesn't matter which version you use.

as for brushes, chose brush tool, click on top left drop down menus(where u select brush) and u can move it, streach it like any windows window, make it bigger and it will show brushes in 2 or 3 rows... make it how u like and thats it

*cough* Getting it free would be another option *cough*  ;)

But if you want to be legal (the price in swedish value is around 15000 kr for photoshop and that is very very much money, with 15000 kr you can get a pretty decent and cool gaming computer instead that will benefit you more  ;) ) try Gimp then, free and have some of the tools photoshop has.

A negative with Gimp tough is that the Magic choosing tool of wich parts of the picture to cut out is hard as hell to control.

Get Corel. Similiar possibilities (if not the same) and it's cheaper than Adobe's products (if you want to be fully legal).
Download a trial version of Photo-Paint or Paint Shop Pro and try it out ;)
