Title: Classic PC Games
Post by: 9r2e5i3k on April 28, 2008, 12:44:07 am
I mean CLASSIC. Like 1996 or older...

Do you like old games? Do you still play them? What do you like in them? Which games are your favourites?

I still play old games... what I like in them - playability over graphics. Those old games might look crap for realistic-graphics maniacs, but hardly any game can beat the fun of playing an old, simple game. New games are very complicated when compared to the classics.
The next thing that I love in old games - soundtracks. I didn't find an old game without a soundtack fitting perfectly to the climate yet...

Favourites: SimCity 2000, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Sky Roads, Lemmings, Fatal Racing, Lotus 3, Tyrian and more...

Raptor was the best. I spent months playing it when I was a kid just to never complete the final level which was insanely difficult.

That bloody final mission (note: this guy makes it look about a billion times easier then it is because he has all the weapon upgrades + some crazy shield thing):
