Ok, so I just got Photoshop, and trying it out for the first time. I'm giving you a chance to watch my skills develop...
First time using Photoshop, EVER.

Photoshop is realy adictive in the first week I almost did it non stop :P

Don't cut, use the magic selection tool. It will find the edges of the object you are trying to select and if it selects to much you press on the " - " and you can take parts of the selection. It's a really usefull tool and it's unbelievable how it works ;)
Especially with those drawn pictures, or pictures of games it works great because there is a great difference between the colors.

magic selection tool makes the edges rough for me and looks obvious that it has been used, pen tool all the way :P

Dude, you use pen tool? Then it takes ages to cut out a big picture, and the edges will really be rough then..
I think you have an older photoshop version because the quick selection tool has smoothest edges ever.

maybe its just me :/. i like the pen tool! so accurate and smooth. i made a few renders myself with that ;)
oh and i have the latest version ;)

Magnetic lasso tool I was told it folows the edges automaticly .. I think thats also what Merc uses
if I only knew how to stop it from selecting and how to use that ... :(

Hey I found out how to cut out decently (for a first time) here is my first experiment ..since I love the matrix I did Neo :D

pres del when it makes a marker where you don't want one and it goes back and just correct your line.

lol yes I found that also backspace helps now its easy (if you zoom in a lot ofc its much smoother)
amd when your done press enter .. I could have known that also ..

It really was a bit of a coincidence; I was cutting the neo pic to test the lasso tool and I thought why not make a sig to test it ..but for who ...ehmmm why not for neo :)

I would like a sig.. any kind of epic/battle background, in the front written "Maxy Araatus" on the first line, and "Earned in Blood" on the second. any cool font /font color.

BTW abe I dont really like your own.. new sig the font is almost unreasable I liked the old one better
Ow about maxys sig use a japanese or chinese style font this one is more G holmes

I want a whole different approach, I would like a Katana horizontally across the screen, with a black background. and "Maxy" on the first line, and "Earned in Blood" On the second. and no sheath, just a katana.
