Title: San andreas army

I noticed some problems within the san andreas army. one they can not do anything to help pd or else they become wanted. two the army is avaialable to everyone who wishes to use it. another one is the hydra, the hydra is just plain over kill for the army, just put some cargo bobs leviathons raindances and mavericks no need for hydras. I also have some nice skins for well the swat and army class. here http://files.filefront.com//;6906237;;/

We will look in to the function of army. As far as you comment on army, you have some point.
Only the custom skins we can not use, as skins ust be available for all players.

I think the army should play a good backup role for the police - also sum decent vehicles near the spawn point might help.

i think hydra should be removed, today a guy abused it an killed like 6 COPS with a rocket... maybe it shud be great if hydra remove and that andromeda or wat ( u know the biggest plane) added its so funny :roll:

Yes, they should also spawn with armour, and more army vehicles. And the base should not be accesssable to anyone.

1. Hydra can help a lot, Army at least has some powerfull weapon...
Some criminals are getting a rustler and fly away from police...
Contact Army to get a hydra-pilot support to stop the criminal...

From the other side, this should be payed to soldiers... So when you ll come to final results "What is Army?", we'll add some army script...

2. Do not see the point, that area must be disabled for others. Do not want some strangers in restricted area? Then warn them and eliminate...

3. Armour can be added

4. Vehicles will be added in SAMP version 0.2, as it has more possibilities in car spawning...

How do you get the hydra to go fast like a jet? (If it can)
And also, shouldn't the apache be in the army base too?

I think cops are more willing to kill the enemy by them self so they gain the money. Cops are a bit ego, not everyone, but still they will try to do everything to kill the suspect by them self. Forget it that cops call assistance from the army. Firstly because the money, secondly because the army doesnt has any "special skills", third if the suspect is getting to hard to kill, he would certainly be kicked after a period of time.

Hydra could help indeed, but a cop will take the hydra by himself just because of the freaking money...

I dont say everyone is like that, but certainly the most of them are.

So i dont really see a future in the army...i wish their could be a better place to them.

But why should you be an army guy if you have exactly the same rights, or even less as a cop?

1. Cop cannot fly hydra... Only army skin can do it...
2. Yes, after server will calm down of just opening and learning around, cops will start ask help from Army, if there is one...
Why?

I checked today the speed of cars and found out that the standart maximum speed of all police cars are not more then 70 mph... Banshee - 120 mph, Infernus - 170 mph...

Impossible to chase this cars... What can help? Hydra...

Cops have to cooperate with Army, when they know - who is and setted the regulars on server...

Right now all people are just learning the map, stuff, commands and each other...

If army can only fly hydra, ok army has an advantage.

I think 0.2 or higher has to come so more hydras can placed, and more army personal can work.

But still, you made a nice solution ;)

aragon will army be a public class though? That is my major concern. Because if it will be, incase of any type of horrible scenario, a noob might use the hydra to blow the hell out of everyone.

Well I logged on today, and I went to ganton in a Army Patriot Truck. I got out and it was stolen by Trix, even though there was a free car right by his house. And then some other guy attacks me for no apparent reason, so I shoot back. And that whole time there was a cop watching. Eventually he starts shooting at me, I just stand there to see who ehs shooting at. Them bam he hits me even though the other dmer is dead. So I fire back and then im killed.

Can there be some sort of verification for cops so they dont act like such retards? And so they are good non-idiot cops?

I played army and I enjoyed it. The police and the army should have a chat togheter where they could talk with each other. Improve the communiction between the police and the army. Some policemen are stupid to suspect army guys. Anyway, I RPed as hydra pilot and gave the criminals two warnings to surrender to the cops. If they don't obey I will fire rockets at them and some criminals cooperated. So, I mean the police have benefit with the army.

 First I am proposing that a new system be made to the army
 1. The police has a system for the criminals, I say the army has the same feature, but only when a criminal    has done multiple acts of killing and makes this person more wanted giving it to the army and the police gets off the wanted player.
 2.After a wanted suspect has killed 4 players and  even after they die from being wanted they are still adding kills to the army system and this stays as long as they are on server the wanted player is given to the army and when a army personal kills the person they get 3000 for the kill.
 3.Make it so if a army kills a wanted player, they only get 200 and the army player does not get wanted, only if they killed a wanted, army even can go after a cop who kills another cop, and there name is highlighted black but no other players can see this, only army skin, this goes for a wanted player that is handed over to army, but all players can see that, that player is black on map.
 4. Is it possible, to put more skins in for army, like I have a army skin I use but its a navy seal, but other players see me as still the same boring army skin, I say add at least 2 more army skins if possible.

 Now I know this might be hard to script into the system but if its possible then can you do it? Since army is considerned higher then police, the army should be higher power and no cop can order them around.
 Now I hope this can be done, maybe with the 2.0 release?

 NEW COMMANDS

 1.A cop still has all the powers they still have
 2. Army has new command for getting suspects that are given to them, I say they have to abilty to tie them up using a /tie ID command and the army person needs to be 3 feet away from suspect to do so.

/tie :S... the reason we dont wanna make worthless commands is because of time.. it might take 5 minutes.. but then you gotta add it.. why the hell cant you use the /me command

This is how I do it, there might be faster ways but I have not dared to try any other way as I cannot backup my grand theft auto folder.

1: Download IMG Tool (comes with some skinpacks)
2: Open the IMG Tool
3: Choose file > Open, open the file called gta3.img in /models ( in the main grand theft auto folder )

4: Choose edit > Find > search for army.dff > Highlight the army.dff > Commands > replace > choose the army.dff from the download.

5: Choose edit > Find > search for army.txd > Highlight the army.txd > Commands > replace > choose the army.txd from the download.

6: Choose edit > Find > search for swat.dff > Highlight the swat.dff > Commands > replace > choose the swat.dff from the download.

7: Choose edit > Find > search for swat.txd > Highlight the swat.txd > Commands > replace > choose the swat.txd from the download

I like the swat one but the army one looks almost the same, is there no "ranger" skin around? ;)
