I just got an msn virus from someone,
Person:
Haha is that you ? [link to site that infects you, looks very similar to image shack but with double "a"] [email protected]
Then I click and now I'm infected.
Anyone know how I can get rid of this?

Here is some help Ghost - www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
I also got that virus and I was just about to flame the guy who sent it to me, but then he apologized. I also apologize because I may have infected someone. The fact is, I did not do Save the file, but only ran it and when I saw it was a virus, I simply turned my MSN off and cleaned my PC with AVG 8.0 Anti-Spyware. This is seriously the best program ever.
I bought it for a lot of cash, but here You can get the free 1 month trial version of AVG. (http://www.grisoft.com/ww.download-trial) It is quite legal and in-order, if you don't have a anti-virus, try out AVG, I can ensure you will love it .. :)

Thnx for the info Legend, I'll try it out.
I tried using Spyware Doctor but soon after someone told me they got the link so that obviously didn't work.

I got one of those. Their a pain.
This worked for me but might not work but is worth a shot.
Uninstall MSN delete your MSN folder and anything that has to do with MSN.
Reinstall.

That's what I should suggest too...
And a tip for all the MSN users: NEVER click a link, unless you ask what the link stands for... Most of the times the virus 'sender' doesn't know he sended to you...

And never accept pictures if they are in .zip, .rar, etc, format because anything BUT pictures could be hidden in those files. If someone is sending you a picture, you should be able to see a preview of it when you get the send request.

There's nothing dangerous with clicking links, as long as you don't click what's in 'em...
