Hey, i know this forum doesn't allow piracy, but ii have a problem with that if i put big files on download, it says "there is not enough space on disk" when i clearly have 233 GB left.
File sizes include:
27 GB
4.24 GB
is there a problem with the allocator? or am i missing something?
i have uTorrent 1.7.7

I think you download it to you 'local files' (or whatever it called), and thats FIRST on you pc, than to your 233GB disk (I think thats an extra hard drive). You you're space on the PC has to less space.
Oh, adn btw, Torrents are not alway's illegal... Ok, yes, many (very much!), but there are also legal things.

on the 4 GB,, my regular HD has 10 GB left
the 500 GB external i have 295 GB left on it..
so if the 4 GB file goes on my local HD, i would just have 6 GB left but the thing says that error again.

Darn, sorry mate, no idea then...
I use another program. (had it before, but it was that solution...)

Try downloading on the first HDD and after DLing the whole torrent, move it to the external one.

go in utorrent settings and movr "temp" location... u do have enough for final location but ur temp is smaller that torrent itself
-
That's exactly why I do not use torrents

A torrent creates the space for the file in the destination, but at the same time uses a temp location for downloading. Torrent seeders all send parts of the file, which is then assembled in the destination. As a result you need 3-4 times the torrent space fee on the temp location.
Downloading is not illegal. It is use of software without having bought the license that could be illegal. ;)
