Post by: John_Vaughan on June 21, 2008, 12:09:07 am
Yes, Finally after the betatests, Finally SAMP 0.2.2 R3 is released to its Final NON-BETA version! :D

Quote from: www.sa-mp.com
To address a recent security problem, we have released the SA-MP 0.2.2 R3 client. It is available on the Download Page. This is an optional update, although highly recommended. The SA-MP 0.2.2 R3 client works on all SA-MP 0.2.2 servers.

Updates to the SA-MP 0.2.2 server are not required at this time.

Apart from security updates, the 0.2.2 R3 client also fixes some crashes/bugs from previous versions. The following updates have been made:

- Removed all SAC code. This fixes a security vulnerability mentioned earlier.
- Fixed problem with clipboard text not copying externally.
- Fixed time/fog/lighting flickering when the passing of time is disabled.
- Fixed some vehicle audio problems (silent cars/planes/boats/helis).
- Fixed texture lag/streaming popups when many models were loaded.
- Fixed some car mod shop crashes.
- Alternate siren for police vehicles is now synced.
- TextDraw code is completely rewritten. It now works in interiors and will disable with the scoreboard.
- Crashes caused by DestroyVehicle script are fixed.
- Imported some of the 0.2.5 vehicle surfing code.
- Added command /fpslimit to adjust the frame rate limiter. Valid /fpslimit values are 20-100.

Some RPers will probably want this disabled and instead that you die when standing on a car with more than 30.... :devroll:

Now ask him to stay on the top of the car and go close to him... You will see, that he is passable... You also cannot hit him and I think you cannot kill him as well...

But there is a problem with R3, That I experienced, dunno if others: R3 Users can not do some activites with R2 Users, Like R2 Drives and R3 is passenger, Due to the high lag and desync that R2 Had, The R3 User as passenger of the car that R2 Drives, Will experience a TERRIBLE Lag, In some situations, It may end to a crash :conf:

Also Moderators, If you can or want it, Make this topic pinned, To help all the players in finding the R3 Release :P, Just like the "0.2.5 News" topic :)

dont really like R#,

the second siren doesnt add anything,

and the lag is massive,

really bad, but havent crashed yet, but that doesnt make the lag look good,

so it sucks:

better wait for better version, with better updates, and less lag
