Lol this one is incredible..This is one of the best optic illusions! Ballerina revolves in the direction depending on which side of the brain is more developed! (If u see shes turning clockwise the right side of your brain is more developed) With a little concentration and thoughts maybe u can change the direction of movement ballerina! If u dont success, try to close ur eyes a few seconds and imagine that revolves in a different direction to see again. The secret is in the raised leg " I have tried that and its rly true. I saw how it turns as a clockwise and my dad saw in the opposite direction. And also i tried to change direction but no success :( :conf:

:ps: For mods: Maybe there is already one topic with similar content but i couldnt find so if it exists pls merge these two topics..

CRAP! I looked away, imagined clockwise, and now I can't get back counter-clockwise! D=

Use the corner of your eye to change..

Edit:
Holy crap, thats the best thing ever. I look at it from the corner of my RIGHT eye, and she turns back anti-clockwise.
Corner of my LEFT eye, she turns clockwise.

Thats some messed up stuff .

The spinning changing. First look - clockwise, other - back and so all the time, you just move your eyes to the side and then back to pic ;)

This is pretty kewl
Same color illusion

"The same color illusion — also known as Adelson's checker shadow illusion, checker shadow illusion and checker shadow — is an optical illusion published by Edward H. Adelson, Professor of Vision Science at MIT in 1995. The squares A and B on the illusion are the same color (or shade), although they seem to be different.

"When interpreted as a 3-dimensional scene, our visual system immediately estimates a lighting vector and uses this to judge the property of the material."

The left image below shows what appears to be a black and white checker-board with a green cylinder resting on it that casts a shadow diagonally across the middle of the board. The black and white squares are actually different shades of gray. The image has been constructed so that "white" squares in the shadow, one of which is labeled "B," are actually the exact same gray value as "black" squares outside the shadow, one of which is labeled "A." The two squares A and B appear very different as a result of the illusion. A second version of the same picture includes a rectangular bridge connecting square A and B to show they are the same shade of gray.

Squares A and B have the same color.                       A rectangle of the same color has been drawn connecting the two squares."

I like the ballerina one, you just need to think about it and it "changes direction". :)

That's a nice one Tiderman. :D

OMG I just managed to change the direction of the ballerina lol.

I find, you have to look away from it, not too far, and follow the arm and the leg, keep watching until it appears that the arm moves faster than the leg, and it changes direction.

Actually... Just concentrate really hard on something else, and it'll happen, if you get it spinning anti-clockwise, look downwards on the picture, it may turn back.
